[[Template core/front/global/mobileFooterBar is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date.
ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionThe 6th time of uploading fresh files and my dev site is still inaccessible, I won't be trying anything else because I am going out to a panto shortly. I would appreciate it if Invision could investigate this. This might be a rare issue, but I don't see why it's happening and even with a fresh set of files (multiple times applied) and now I can't even access the site. To be clear: I had an issue where the footer of v5 (I believe the mobile navigation) was throwing an error. I reuploaded files multiple times throughout this issue (6 times). I really hope that Beta 10 wasn't a 4.17, but whatever has happened could occur to my live site and since v5 is in beta almost in final. I would have thought this would be something a client might get a bit more help with.

Beta 10 is here!
Upgrading from v4.19 to v5's beta 9.1 was very easy. Despite encountering a few complications and errors in my dev site, the process of upgrading to beta 10 through the ACP was remarkably straightforward. (Issues concerning version 5 and theme-related elements).

[[Template core/front/global/mobileFooterBar is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date.
ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta Discussion@Marc: Uploaded the new files, my dev site is inaccessible now. I really hope the Beta 10 download wasn't 4.19, but it seemed to be correct. There wasn't a plugin folder. Could this please be looked into? It's not urgent, but it's apparent that something isn't right. I would very much appreciate it. It might be useful with V5. Just not note, I didn't download the v4.19 files. I clicked and downloaded the Beta 10 files, I then inspected them and it seemed right.

ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionAye, but I'm downloading v5 Beta 10. I am currently uploading a fresh set of files from the Beta 10 download. Hopefully, it will fix the footer issue, but I did this twice with the previous Beta, so I am not really certain it will make a difference. Thanks for confirming.

[[Template core/front/global/mobileFooterBar is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date.
ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionI did successfully from Beta 9.1 to 10, no issues. That's my point, there's something more to this, but I can only try so much before trying to reach out. Which is the purpose of this. The most recent beta version available in the client area indicates Invision Community 4. I get it's a busy time, but I can't resolve this myself, because I've tried what I can. 😞

ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionI'll try re-uploading a fresh set of files again. 🤷🏻♂️ Why does the file when you click to download the Beta 10 of v5, say 4? @Marc

[[Template core/front/global/mobileFooterBar is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date.
ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionI manually uploaded the files twice from the directory, no issue with uploading and nothing failed. I successfully upgraded to v5 beta 10 - I would have thought this would have picked things missing up? Could there be something else going on?

I have checked that the table core_theme_editor_settings exists. ✅ I have ran the recovery mode to ensure the v5 theme is correct. ✅ /sitefolder/ and /domain/ has been changed by me. My site details are correct.

Marquee App?
ClawOfWinterfell replied to FeigelInc's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionI have asked Terabyte to release a better version than Taman's newsticker app. He's mentioned building something from the ground up for v5, so if you are interested in something more comprehensive let me know. This could be something sold by Tera, instead of being custom.

Beta 9 is now on the table!
Perhaps Invision would consider adding a feature at user level, that would allow them to choose which the first option is? Or, does it change based on what the default feed is?

Sorry for the double post (if it's not caught and added to my previous post). Can we customise the mobile menu in the footer?

Updated dev site to v5 license key issue
ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionI'm sorry, the errors tend to go over my head. Most look related to the templates I use with Pages. However, this seems related to the new mobile navigation - I can't find errors relating to it. [[Template core/front/global/mobileFooterBar is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]] Sorry, I missed your response.

Beta 9 is now on the table!
I have an idea: When you place the same type of widget side by side, why not allow the data they both pull to be linked? Imagine you have two widgets of the same type placed side by side on a page. Instead of each widget working independently and pulling its own data separately, I propose they should be able to link and share the same data source. This means that if you update the data in one widget, the other widget automatically reflects that change.

Updated dev site to v5 license key issue
ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionYes, I reuploaded the files as you suggested. I also realised that the menu for the widgets was placed differently in v5. Yet it didn't show up before, I'm just trying to fix the template issues not caused by third-party stuff. Thank you.

Updated dev site to v5 license key issue
ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionI think my account on my dev site v5 has an issue with the permissions, I still can't control the widgets.

Updated dev site to v5 license key issue
ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionThe create button is gone in v5? 😮 I've tried this. 😞 @Marc @Jim M: Has anyone reported that if there's no space in the comment field, you cannot quote someone? I had to manually press enter in order to quote the above.

ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionI think it has some how, I personally haven't but I did notice on my live site that there's edited changes. On my dev site I am not sure I have the proper themes for v5.

Updated dev site to v5 license key issue
ClawOfWinterfell replied to ClawOfWinterfell's topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionThank you, I have updated the information and the location of FTP. You should see the dev.url there. Just to point out: I don't have the option to refresh the license. Also, I am not sure if the default skin(s) are right. I haven't edited them, but they just don't seem right to me.

Updated dev site to v5 license key issue
I have just upgraded my dev site from 4.7.19 to the latest beta of v5. I have this message: " This license key has already been activated. Your license key entitles you to one installation only. If you need to change the URL associated with your license, contact technical support." Nothing has changed, it's the same URL listed in my client area but I still can't get it to be accepted.
