Network Response Time (Cloud)

Featured Replies

Hello,

We are considering migrating to the cloud and have been looking at our network status. There are significant differences in response time between the US and the EU.

For legal reasons, only an EU location is an option for us. Why is the response time so poor?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

How/where are you measuring this? You only appear to have one cloud instance present, which is expired

You're absolutely right, we don't currently have any cloud applications running on your system – hence our inquiry.

In my customer account – under "Network Status" – I assume your customer applications are displayed there. Are the values I'm seeing here incorrect?

I would pay much attention to those, to be honest. It wouldnt be a real reflection of response times due to other things in front of it such as caching and the likes

I do understand his question.

From EU to this website, response time always around 800 to 900ms.
What website hosted on EU server can we test the response time, to see it our self?

Response times inside EU to our own website on own server is 110 to 120ms.

Our community here is not hosted in the EU so response time will be higher from the EU but again, monitors sometimes aren't always "real world."

So, what about the speed difference?

I'm in the EU and have the option of choosing between the US and EU versions of InVision Cloud.

The values shown in the screenshot I posted are from the InVision Community Cloud, not this website!

Are the displayed values correct or not?

The uptime site displays an average over the whole infrastructure for that region. What you will experience will be significantly different. As part of our support, I am constantly accessing sites that are on our USA VS EU regions and I can never tell the difference in speed.
