I like most of my forums to have the same settings and permissions, which are all slightly off from the default. It would be nice to be able to select a custom default template, either by menu dropdown, or via a setting in the ACP, that would give the forum the proper settings and permission masks each time.

I think I get it, but I may need a better explination and or a pic(s) of what you mean.

As far as I understood (please correct me if I'm wrong), he means something like those groups permission masks, but for forum settings.

Instead of setting each forum's options individualy, you create something like a "settings template" and assign it to the forum. Then you can change something in the template and the changes would apply to all forums using that template.

Idealy that, or more simplisticly just give a place to set what the defaults are for the radial, checkboxes, and drop downs are for easy mass forum creation
