  1. Hi, Thanks for the changes to the plugin. I purchased and installed the app. As a test I chose an Embed image for the thread. Then copy and pasted the link into FB post. The embed image did not follow to the FB post. Is there an additional step? When you refer to og:image <--- Do I need to do something with this? Forgive my ignorance, not savvy with the lingo.

  3. This looks like a great plugin. Before I purchase I had a question. Thank you for taking the time to reply. Does this plug-in effect the embedded image when the link is posted to say... Facebook? Currently when I link any forum thread to FB it shows up with the same generic picture each time. My hope is this plug-in will allow me to chose the embedded image, allow me to link to FB and that embedded image show up on the FB post. I have not seen this question asked or it addressed in the purchase notes.

  6. Hi everyone, The community here has been very helpful. Appreciate everyone's patience with my noob questions. I've spent the last hour googling What are webhooks What is zapier Found a Blog on the invision site: Enhance your site with integrations. I am trying to put this all together in my mind. But having never done anything like this before, I am struggling. Hoping to rattle off some dumb questions and tip toe my way to a solution. My goal. Use the power of facebook to draw people to my Invision site. If I could wave a magic wand and have the following... Example: When a user posts a new Thread on my invision community. It gets auto posted to the FB page. Or vice versa. Now the above example may be a bit noisy and create a certain amount of spamming to the board/facebook page. But this general idea is what I am after. Cross platform posting to bridge the gap. Maybe through settings manipulation I can cater the cross platform posting to the most relevant items? Webhooks integrations SEEM like the solution. Are they? Am I on the right track? Do I need to sign up for Zapier service? Am I able to create the example above natively with the current invision software? Does Invision offer a web development service where I can hire someone to do the leg work and design it all out? Again, I appreciate everyone's help. Hopefully some day I will be able to be of service and contribute back some knowledge. Thank you. Gene
  7. Quick update. On a whim I tried to run the update again... and it worked! Weird quirk in the system? I'll take it. Thanks everyone.
  8. Update. I went to run the 4.7.1 IPS update and got this. Prior to running the update it flagged certain text changes that were custom changes to the template theme. I changed the Heading tabs from the "stock" words to my custom tabs. Not sure how that can fudge it up? But something isn't happy. Any ideas?

  10. Hi Team, I have been staring at this update and have been nervous to try and push it through. Sometimes software updates break more than they fix/help. Today I clicked it and figured maybe I should give it a go... When I click it I am met with the following message. I then click GET SUPPORT. And see the following. Logs states: If I click disable Third Party APPS. I see the following I am not sure where to go and what to do... Is there a fee I can pay to have this fixed by tech support for me? Happy to pay for professional help.
  11. I think that may be it! Found the setting. Took a screen shot of an example post that required approval and a shot of the area of the menu. "If link is posted" I changed the option to allow. This issue has plagued me for a long while. Thank you very much.
  12. I dug around and searched for restricted links options. I don't see anything. Where can I find this settings area to check ?
  13. Hi all, Have a problem that appears to be random. Members posts are requiring approval. I have inquired with each person as to their account status, what device or browser they are using. If the content is restricted. I can not find any correlation to lead me to the source of the problem. I have read on the forum there is a new update for a post approval "reason" to be viewable. So we can understand why it is flagged. My question is. Can I just unilaterally across all settings options TURN OFF any post needing approval. Really just need this to go away. It's becoming a big chore and is killing my membership growth. Members are frustrated. Thanks so much.

  15. Hi everyone. I have search the guides and forum for 2 days and can not find the answer. Currently. My forum requires everyone to either sign in or register. You can not see the site otherwise. I want to change that. I would like the site to be viewable by unregistered guests/anyone who visits the domain. If they would like to post? Well then they have to register. My problem is: I can not find a setting that adjusts my forum to these wishes. I swear I saw a check box to deactive mandatory registrations. Can anyone help? Thank you.
  16. HI Matt, any update on enhancement to expose the reason for Approvals being needed? I have a situation where it seems "at random" posts require approval. I have not been able to pin down why certain users are targeted more than others. Thanks!
  17. Thanks for the quick help! The deletion was performed from the ADMINCP side of things. I guess I need to debate the loss of the NEW content by reverting to the old database restore...
  18. I was consolidating Forum sections. The sections had some Member created threads in them. I could have sworn I moved the content before deleting the Forum sections.... Turns out I deleted a members thread by accident. How do I view, recover and restore deleted content? Not sure where to look. I have been searching the ADMINCP for an hour with no luck. Thank you very much!
  19. The solution I figured out was that the system is overall very slow. Sometimes the changes would take upwards of 10 minutes to populate. So the solution is to be patient.
  20. I am using the Site online/offline toggle. With the "offline message" set as "Open today Feb 4th, 2022 at 5PM" and am trying to update it over time as the day progressing to build hype. For instance adding at youtube video link pics etc as the day progresses. Well I tried to embed some code to the offline site message (from youtube) and after doing so I can not update/change the message. it is stuck on the last update w/embedded code. I fear I got it stuck somewhere it can't get out of. Any ideas? www.thehunterslair.com if you want to see
  21. Thank you. Seeing your menu image helps. I do not have that. Looks like I need to click the link, login with the randomized password and maybe then it will activate my Admin priveleges. Problem is I am locked out of my account for not seeing the randomized new password. Will keep at it. Thank you for the help.
