  1. Just a quick question. When will this be fixed? I only received an email on 30th Jun saying this: I still can't get anyone to register as it's still broken. Thanks
  2. apologies, I missed the @myfootballforum.com off the username. It's been a long day!!! 👍 Try it now, 50th time lucky
  3. All updated, I mean it this time 🙂 👍
  4. Hello, Apologies for that, I've updated the information.
  5. Yes, I tried it on an unmodified theme too.
  6. Hello again, I have stopped all 3rd part apps/plugins and the problem persisted I then cleared the cache, the problem was still there I think changed my PHP version to 8.2.5 and the issue remains Thanks
  7. I have php version 8.0.28 I'll disable the 3rd part plugins/apps tonight see if that helps Thanks.
  8. Morning, I have a problem with registration, people just get an error message when they try to register, luckily someone I know spotted this for me. TypeError: trim(): Argument #1 ($string) must be of type string, stdClass given (0) #0 /home/myfootb1/public_html/applications/core/modules/front/system/register.php(406): trim(Object(stdClass)) #1 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Helpers/Form/FormAbstract.php(382): IPS\core\modules\front\system\_register::IPS\core\modules\front\system\{closure}('6') #2 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Helpers/Form/TextArea.php(119): IPS\Helpers\Form\_FormAbstract->validate() #3 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Helpers/Form/Text.php(298): IPS\Helpers\Form\_TextArea->validate() #4 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Helpers/Form/FormAbstract.php(170): IPS\Helpers\Form\_Text->validate() #5 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Helpers/Form/FormAbstract.php(147): IPS\Helpers\Form\_FormAbstract->setValue(true) #6 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Helpers/Form/TextArea.php(66): IPS\Helpers\Form\_FormAbstract->__construct('q_and_a', NULL, true, Array, Object(Closure), NULL, NULL, NULL) #7 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Helpers/Form/Text.php(125): IPS\Helpers\Form\_TextArea->__construct('q_and_a', NULL, true, Array, Object(Closure), NULL, NULL, NULL) #8 /home/myfootb1/public_html/applications/core/modules/front/system/register.php(428): IPS\Helpers\Form\_Text->__construct('q_and_a', NULL, true, Array, Object(Closure)) #9 /home/myfootb1/public_html/applications/core/modules/front/system/register.php(194): IPS\core\modules\front\system\_register::buildRegistrationForm(NULL) #10 /home/myfootb1/public_html/applications/core/modules/front/system/register.php(176): IPS\core\modules\front\system\_register->_registrationForm(NULL) #11 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Helpers/Wizard/Wizard.php(181): IPS\core\modules\front\system\_register->IPS\core\modules\front\system\{closure}(Array) #12 /home/myfootb1/public_html/applications/core/modules/front/system/register.php(183): IPS\Helpers\_Wizard->__toString() #13 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Dispatcher/Controller.php(118): IPS\core\modules\front\system\_register->manage() #14 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Dispatcher/Dispatcher.php(153): IPS\Dispatcher\_Controller->execute() #15 /home/myfootb1/public_html/index.php(13): IPS\_Dispatcher->run() #16 {main} Backtrace #0 /home/myfootb1/public_html/init.php(1034): IPS\_Log::log('TypeError: trim...', 'uncaught_except...') #1 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Helpers/Wizard/Wizard.php(231): IPS\IPS::exceptionHandler(Object(TypeError)) #2 /home/myfootb1/public_html/applications/core/modules/front/system/register.php(183): IPS\Helpers\_Wizard->__toString() #3 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Dispatcher/Controller.php(118): IPS\core\modules\front\system\_register->manage() #4 /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Dispatcher/Dispatcher.php(153): IPS\Dispatcher\_Controller->execute() #5 /home/myfootb1/public_html/index.php(13): IPS\_Dispatcher->run() #6 {main} LOADED HOOKS applications/recenttopics/hooks/dispatcherFront.php applications/recenttopics/hooks/friendlyUrl.php applications/pmviewer/hooks/pmviewerIPSMemberGroupCode.php Thanks in advance
  9. Hello, It was set on SMTP but I've changed it to PHP and it's fixed everything. It is a self-hosted incision. Thanks again 👍
  10. As the title says, when I write a PM and click submit a reply, the button greys out and says saving. I have to go off the page to continue using the site, but the messages are sent, sometimes multiple times. I have disabled all third party addons but it still does it. I'm not sure what could be causing this!
  11. Thanks Jim, yeah I should have tested them but I've actually never thought about testing them. I've had the site for 20 years, but the backup was only from 2014 as I sold the site then was given it back. I've looked at the cloud but I'll stick with the stand alone version for the time being as it's cheaper for me. 👍
  12. Host said it was the backing up where it was failing. It looks like I'll be staring the forum again, damn!!!!
  13. This is the reply I have received from my hosting company. Unfortunately the oldest backup we have is the same. It looks like it stops at corefilesstorage table. Looking at the logs it's not able to dump the 'core_files' table which is killing the backup process, is this particular table large in either size or number of rows?
  14. Hmm that's really bad news. Hopefully the hosts can see what's gone wrong.
  15. This is the last database table of the 75 in the database.
  16. The whole website gets backed up nightly. So I've been trying to restore the whole site backups but everyone doesn't seem to work. I'm talking to my hosts now. I'll let you know what they say. They've replied with this. He's restored the database manually and there are 76 tables. He's asking if there should be more but I'm not sure. He also said this was an error popping up.
  17. This is weird, the database only goes to myfootb1_invision.core_files. that's the last row. The hosts are looking into it. I've tried to restore my sites full backup including files and databases from 5th and the 4thnof.jan but I get the same error. It's not looking good.
  18. My host restored my website backup but I get an error 500 on the.main forum page and this error when I try to access my admin area We're sorry, but a temporary technical error has occurred which means we cannot display this site right now.Table 'myfootb1_invision.core_theme_settings_fields' doesn't existYou can try again by clicking the button below, or try again later. What would cause this, could it.be that they didn't restore the old.databse?
  19. I have just tried to do an update on my website but it's failed. Can't remember the exact error but I uninstalled cleantalk (I originally tried to install cleantalk but that failed too) and not it comes up with this error when trying to update. /home/myfootb1/public_html/system/Patterns/ActiveRecord.php::142 If I try to disable third party apps I get this error. 2S119/1 The CSRF protection key did not match. This may indicate a plugin or theme is out of date. Please contact technical support for more information. My admin drop down menus are not working properly and my site is stuck on the updating screen. Thanks in advance. Michael
  20. Thank you, my hosts installed the missing extension and all is working fine on PHP 8.1 👍
  21. I hade one error come up, which is no doubt the problem: You do not have the Multibyte String PHP extension loaded which is required. You should contact your hosting provider or system administrator to ask for it to be installed. I'll get onto my host. Thanks
  22. My site just refuses to work and comes up with Error 500 when changing from php version 7.4 to version 8.0. I have disabled all 3rd party customisations and tried to access Admin area but it still comes up with error 500. As soon as i change it back to PHP 7.4 everything works as it should. Regards
  23. Yes that would be great, thank you. 👍🏻
  24. Thank you very much, I like the sound of this one.
