QOTW: What is your favorite TV show?

Welcome to the first of a new regular series we're calling "Question of the week". Each week, we'll ask our team a question and share the replies.

To kick things off, we posed a very simple question:

What is your favorite TV show right now?
We may have over-estimated how much TV the average geek watches. Here's what our team said.

I'd say my favorite is probably Fixer Upper as I tend to like to have those sorts of home repair shows on in the background, and Chip and Joanna Gaines are just too hard not to love.

I’ve just finished season two of Preacher which I really enjoyed. I found Eugene’s journey through Hell to be a highlight and enjoyed how a small character in season one was fleshed out some more. Also, who cannot love watching Hitler order plum cakes?

That being said, though, I saw a commercial for the Big Bang Theory spin-off "Sheldon" the other day, and I might get hooked into that. It looked pretty good.

I just finished The Walking Dead Season 7 and I'm watching some Anime with the family. I'm the sort of person that bounces around binge watching TV shows and movies. I can say that I am really looking forward to the next season of Santa Clarita Diet though because a zombie housewife is just funny to watch the misadventures of.

@Stuart Silvester Rockin' the TNG! Are you looking forward to Discovery?

I've been quite looking forward to watching that. I was at one point a bad bad trekkie, having watched every one of the originals, TNG, Voyager and DS9. Couldnt get into any after that for some reason.

I've seen everything, but Enterprise was a bit shallow in comparison to the others. A missed opportunity.

Star Trek TNG was my childhood. Deep Space 9 is also acceptable.

I agree - DS9 became acceptable after season 4. Prior to that, it was like watching a soap opera on a space station.

For the curious: I do not watch that much TV these days in general, with exceptions being various documentaries.

Currently however I'm watching the late 60's sci-fi series 'The Invaders' as and when it is showing on TV and my PVR decides to actually behave and record it. :) I do have an interest in 60's and 70's sci-Fi series's generally however although I have not seen that many apart from the odd episode here and there.

I don't know that one, it probably wasn't translated in French

Hey Steph, French too :) (sent u a PM)

You're right before UK would buy some series, France would buy some others, and we didnt have the choice...Tx to Netflix now, there is no difference between different channels in the world, the whole world can watch the same series at the same time, and in original version ! i always prefer original version with subtitles if needed, dubbing can be such a disaster...

Some are done very well, most not so well. I have watched some movies with subs but I got to be really awake for that, I tend to fall asleep when I watch tv. God I sound old.

50's 60's old B/W TV  Western

Just did a search and I was born in 1970, we only had a 14inch black and white tv with no cable till the Olympics came to Montreal in 1977, so no wonder I haven't watched it :) The show ended in 1975.
