When 2FA is active and a new user is required to sign up, a "popup" displays the QR code with an option "Not able to scan the QR code?"

If they click the link a "Account / Your email address" prompt appears...

but the Your email address line is not a form field. It's just text.

What's up with that?

You will enter your email address into the Authenticator app, along with the code there.
