Feature Request: Subscription Plan Benefit - Change Theme

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, I currently offer subscriptions that remove advertisements. In the subscription setup page, under benefits, I move subscribers into a different group, and reset when purchase expires.

Request: Add another benefit where we can set the user's theme upon purchase, and reset it upon expiration.

Because of the way advertising works in v5, requiring a hook for custom locations, I have to use hooks in the main theme, and remove the hooks in a subscribers theme. The subscribers must change themes to remove all advertising. If there was a way to only show hooks to specific groups, I wouldn't need this feature request.

Do they 'only' have access to that theme? I ask as if thats the case, you could force it simply by not giving access to the theme for different groups. That way when you move then from one group to another, the theme would change anyway

Hi Marc, I really wanted that option to work as well. But, as far as I can tell, the default theme has to be accessible to all groups. So, it isn’t possible to restrict access to the subscribers to only this subscription theme.
