Didn't there used to be a place in the ACP where you could change wording for a particular term used? I thought it was "Phrases" or some such. Anyhoo, it's been awhile since I have used it and I can't find it now. Can someone direct me to the appropriate area to do so?

Language strings maybe?

You would indeed change words on the forum within your language pack, by translating them. If you go to Customization languages and click on the globe icon next to your language pack, this is where you would translate
