Contact Us Form email - Nested Tables - a Mess

Featured Replies

v5 - Cloud

Hi,

I am testing out the contact us form and the email it sends out is just terrible.

Is this peculiar to Thunderbird (but I have no other email which looks like this), or something I am missing with my website configuration?

Further, 'Click here to view our privacy policy' in the footer is in active.

Thanks.

That looks to be the standard format for the contact form

Hi @Marc

I had a bit more of look ingot this. Some types of messages from Invision are displayed as plain text when I reply. The Contact Us form (and other type of notification - I forget which now) display like that. All display as rich text when I receive them. But that reply looks very messy to me. Why is the table structure displayed? Is this inevitable for some reason?

Sorry, I thought that just your mockup. No the table structure is not returned in the contact us form like that. Have you tested in another email client?

No, I haven't tested it in another email client. Too busy to do that right now. But I do not usually experience problems like that. I'll try to get to it soon, but it will not be today.

Just to add - and make clear - it displays like that when I hit reply. It is fine before then.

Second edit: I think it obvious, but just in case, I edited the image to redact my details.

If its displaying fine before you hit reply, it can only be an issue with the email client. We dont control how it looks when you hit reply there

If no else is experiencing this, then I guess it must be. I'll try it out with another email client when I have some time. Thanks.

Its not so much if nobody else is experiencing it, as it not being a function we provide. We send the email, and as you mention, its fine when received. If its then manipulated when you reply, thats the email client.
