Hi there, With the amount of spam that is coming through these days on spambots, one way to maybe curb this without having to do an extreme amount of moderation is to set it so that certain groups are unable to post links or URL's when they initially join a forum. For instance, when they initially join and start posting they can't post links or urls for their first X amount of posts - 10 posts perhaps. Most bots/spammers, when they get through, are going to immediately go into spamming their links, etc., which at that point just gets caught and says 'you can't do that', or a popup that says something to the effect. Most aren't going to bother to go through the process of interacting with the forums to get to their post limit before they can post links. Sounds like a bit of a pain in the arse, but it might be one of those ways to curb things early on so that we aren't constantly fighting spammers if you don't make it easy for them. Odds are someone is going to tell me that it can be done easily in another manner, which is great, but currently I'm just getting irritated having to have myself or the mods track down folks who are getting through. We've banned IPs, we've changed out our questions on a regular basis, and they are still being a right pain. Currently checking out CleanTalk to see if that's something that can help out.

Howdy, Maybe this an odd question, and likely not one specific to the theme, but with the push from Invision lately to have folks use their email addresses instead of their display names to log into the sight, I've got loads of people having issues as when you go to log in, it says 'Display Name' instead of 'Email' or just Login even. Is there a way to change this up so folks don't get confused?

I'd love for the ability to remove en masse a group, like, everyone that was flagged for spam or a spam bot ... after 10 years or so, that's a load of them I wouldn't mind removing. Now, does it affect my day to day? No ... but it irritates the hell out of me knowing that they are there. 🙂

Been running this for some time and quite enjoy it (thank you for the work and updates). I ran into a problem though that I'm hoping I could get some help on as I didn't catch on to it early on and now I've got a grumpy community. 🙂 We use (NB40) Secondary Group Icons on the site and people dig the hell out of them. At the moment, only the Admin and Moderator badges are showing up, nothing from any of the other secondary groups (where they do challenges, etc). I'd very much like to be able to bring this back to the community. Can I get some help/ideas here on what to change/update/etc? I'm not a code king, so use small words and pictures if you can. 🙂 Thanks!

I could use some help here if someone is willing. Updated and changed over to a theme that worked for us, Dreadnaught by Taman on here. It'll show groups such as moderator and admin, but absolutely won't show any of the other groups that we have. When I switched to another theme, there they are! Any ideas on what/where to edit as I would love to have this work as our community members enjoy their 'badges'.

Sure. As you can see, the slider up there on the site itself, its sort of 'dark'. The original file is this, much brighter.

Howdy, Purchased and installed last week. Very pleased with it as I figure my way through on what I want to do on it. One question I have, my headers/sliders - there is a layer over it on the forum that darkens it up. How can I go about changing that? I'd like for them to show up in the color and style that I'm designing, not as if they have a 'night' filter over them if I can help it. Thanks!
