I think I got it working. I'm not sure what did it....changing it to run a cron job, changing the uploads directory to 0777, or deleting that one large file. At any rate, it started processing again. Once the processing was done, it finished up the rest of the backlogged tasks.

So if it's trying to move a large file, that may be causing an issue? Looking at System>Files>Attachments and sorting by size, I see a few large files. Could I simply delete these? Do you think that would jiggle it loose? Along with the Cron Job recommendation, I set up the cron job on the server. When I tried saving the task method on the Advanced Configuration, I got this: I looked on my FTP to look at permissions (using Filezilla), I see these permissions:

I have a fair amount of traffic. About 40-80 users usually at a time. I figured the regular traffic would be sufficient. But I can try setting up a cron job if that will jiggle loose the stuck background tasks.

I got this from HostGator: I turned off all extensions, custom themes, and disabled all of the integrations. I have about 35 background processes that are still stuck. The Moving Attachment Files seemed to cause the whole issue. I turned off Submitting Data to IndexNow extension, but those are still in by BackgroundProcesses queue. The Reindexing comments on Hello, Beginner Here has also been stuck for several days. It will process other things every once in a while, but it's slow. The rest still seems to be stuck. I'm not sure what to do. Is there a way to kill the background process? Or maybe see what Moving Attachment Files is stuck on? Or maybe I have some server environment settings in the Advanced Configuration area that aren't playing nice? Setting up a cron job help? I'm really grasping for straws. I really don't know what is going on or what to do next. I'm afraid this is going to crash my entire site. Can someone log in and see what's going on? 🙏

However, when I moved the Gallery images to s3 (last Tues or Wed), that went without a hitch. New Gallery images are going to S3. So the connection to S3 seems OK. Some of them seem to go through, but maybe not fast enough? I don't know where to go from here.

I came back to check on things and the background processes are really starting to back up. Right now, I have 26 in the queue. I checked logs in the Locked Taks: Queue and there's nothing in there.

(I have a few Wordpress sites under different domains, but on the same server) I can access admin area just fine, though, so maybe it was an isolated incident. Or maybe it threw that error when tried running the locked task and I got that 503 error. Hello. I'm having trouble with the background moving of files. My hosting company was getting cranky about how many & size of my files, so I set up an S3 storage. I moved one section at a time, starting with some small areas such as blogs images/attachments, downloads, etc. Once that worked fine, I moved onto a larger area (my Gallery), which also went well and was completed in a few hours. My last move was Attachments. it seemed to go well for awhile, then it stalled out at 73% and has been that way for over 12 hours. I think it's stuck. It seems like other background processes are going through, but seem a bit slow. I tried clearing my cache and disabling plugins for a while, but that didn't seem to do anything. there's a locked Task, that I tried running, but that gives me an error: Sorry, that didn’t work. Please try again or come back later. 503 Error. Service Unavailable. Thank you for your help!

For the restricted directory or URL section, can I put just the root, and that will take care of any sections that the bot can't read? For instance, I have guests be able to read topic titles, but not the content unless they're logged in. Or do I have to supply the full path for each specific area that would require a login? Lastly, for _processLogin, is the parameter value "usernamepassword", or is it the auth parameter followed by the password parameter? (so using your example "user@emailaddress.comthepassword" Thanks for your help!

Here's a silly question that I'm trying to find the answer to, but seem to be coming up short. I'm revamping my Google Adsense and I get crawler errors from time to time. Usually, it's when they're trying to access stuff from behind a login account. The ads I'm getting don't seem to be all that targeted. So I'm thinking maybe they're just serving generic ads because they can't read the content? I'm wondering if I have to do something about adding permissions for these crawlers. I have a member group called BOTS. Is that a default group that IPBoard created for google bots and the like? Am I supposed to create accounts for them? I moved over to IP Board from PHPBB many years ago. So I'm not sure if this group name is a remnant from that old system and unrelated to IPBoard. I guess the question is, do I need to do anything to allow these crawlers? Is the BOTS group something I need? Or is the ad serving more based on the user and what the user can see? How about the Image carousel on the gallery page? Whenever I click the arrows, it completely reloads the page rather than sliding the next image. Also, is the Photo Notes a cloud-only feature or is there a place to turn that on?

On their website (https://invisioncommunity.com/features/gallery/), they show something different where it shows the lightbox with a sidebar that includes photo details, reactions, and comments. That's how it used to be and I noticed it's not working like that anymore on my website. I'm also not getting the Photo Notes feature, which I'm not sure if I have to turn on or if it's a cloud-only feature.

Hello. I'm running into an issue with the Gallery. When I click a thumbnail from either the gallery or widget, it takes me to the gallery page instead of launching LightBox. When I click the arrows on the carousel, it reloads the whole page instead of sliding the image. If I click the image from the gallery, the LightBox finally opens, but it's missing the sidebar with information and comments. I updated to the latest version yesterday, hoping that would fix it. The default light theme is brand new (4.7.9). I cleared the cache. I've also tried the basic theme (available to the admin as Vanilla 4.7.9). I've also tried disabling plugins. I've tried it on other computers and browsers. This affects all gallery images, not just the example above. Hello. I'm getting this error when I try to log into the Admin. This is a new issue, and I haven't had any trouble before today. I haven't installed anything new. I can log in, but after a few moments, it kicks me out. I've tried it on 2 different computers on two different networks. I've tried switching the Trust IP addresses in the ACP, but when I log in to check again, it switches back to the default.

The overhead is showing this. How do I fix this? What do I tell my hosting company? I clicked into the core_log table, and it shows only 44 records. When I initially looked within IP Board, the log showed around 40ish logs where I would set the pruning settings:

Hello. I'm getting a large log table error. I have the prune settings set to 7 days. When I look at the logs, I only see 40 or so entries. I feel like it's not getting rid of the old logs, even though they are not visible. I don't know why it would be 9.7gigs otherwise. Thanks for your help.

Hi. Some of my members are having trouble when they try to view their bookmarks from the bookmarks tab on their profile. When I log in as a regular member, I can see them OK. But if I log in as that member to look at their bookmarks, I get a PHP error. I'm specifically having trouble on this member. I repaired the databases. I tried creating a uncustomized theme. I cleared the cache.
