Service Scope

Custom, professional services provided by IPS are limited to the scope discussed in the quote email provided by IPS. Any changes will require confirmation and may alter the service fees. All custom service fees are payable prior to work start. Verbal statements do not change the scope of the project.

IPS will offer you 30 days from the date of work delivery to return to us with any issues with the work done and we will correct those issues. After this time there may be additional fees to address newly reported issues.

Our brand matching custom development and SSO services do not include ongoing maintenance. While we will do our best to assist you with tweaks for minor version updates, major releases may require significant development. A new quote will be provided between major releases, as necessary.

Your Environment

Work done is designed to function properly with the version of IPS software, state of customization of IPS software (theme templates, hooks installed, modifications installed, settings in place, etc.), hosting environment, and external system integration present at the time of work delivery. Alterations to your environment - be those changes to IPS software through upgrades or built-in functionality, your hosting, or otherwise - may cause the work to no longer function or appear as expected. There will be extra fees for IPS to update or alter the work to function as expected with changes.

Theme Design (Branding Match)

Theme designs are approached as a branding matching service only. Branding matching includes adapting the look and feel of IPS software to use your site's header/footer/logo/etc. and matching the colors of IPS software to the same. Services do not include changing the standard structure of IPS products or completely custom design. You or your designer can change HTML templates and CSS after IPS delivers its base theme if you desire.

Data Migration

Data conversion from a third party source includes topics, posts, members, forum structure, and other standard data elements. Extra data elements that may be specific to third party source (friends lists, points, tracking data, etc.) is not converted as a standard service. Data conversion from a third party source into IPS software is never a perfect process. Acceptable conversion artifacts, text encoding mismatching, and other incompatibility can be expected. IPS will work to correct those issues within an acceptable scope of work but may not always be able to create a 100% perfect data conversion.
