Landing page for purchased download: customize page design?

Featured Replies

I am creating a landing page for an eBook (a purchasable file in Downloads). I use Downloads because I want to be able to share updated files with customers as corrections are made to the eBook.

I am designing the whole page in HTML and would like to have a "Buy Now" button that goes directly to the checkout process. Is that possible?

I don't want:

  1. the header (title, author card, share and follow buttons),

  2. the About This File section

  3. the File Information side panel.

If that's not possible, I'm considering putting my HTML in a text block at the top of the page, and using CSS to hide these 3 elements (which isn't as straightforward as it seems), keeping only the Buy Now and Download button at the bottom.

Does that make sense, or is there a better/easier way to achieve this?

Come to think of it.. maybe there's a template file I can modify? I just wonder which one?
