Zapier Integration Enhancement - Purchase/Subscription Creation API

Featured Replies

This question has been formulated by Copilot in Zapier:

"We're building a Zapier automation to automatically enroll customers from Shopify into paid subscriptions in Invision Community.

Currently, the Invision Community Zapier integration does NOT have an action to create or activate purchases/subscriptions. The only available endpoint is /nexus/purchases which can only query existing purchases via GET, not create new ones.

We need one of the following:

Option 1 (Preferred): Add a new Zapier action called "Create Purchase" or "Activate Subscription" that allows us to:

  • Specify a member ID

  • Specify a subscription/package ID (e.g., subscription ID 7 for Annual or 5 for Monthly)

  • Optionally set custom fields (price, renewal date, etc.)

  • Optionally send a welcome email notification

Option 2: Expose the REST API endpoint(s) that power subscription/purchase creation so we can use Webhooks by Zapier to call it directly.

Our use case: When a customer purchases a product in Shopify, we automatically create a member in Invision Community AND enroll them in the corresponding subscription plan (Annual or Monthly).

Can you help enable this functionality?"
