  1. First off, I am by no means a technician or even a computer programmer, but I wanted to contribute what little knowledge I have per the push from my other admins and staff to do this. I was able to do the following image: by doing the following; 1. Went to: "Customization" 2. Went to: Edit "HTML/CSS" 3. Went to: "Global - Userbar" 4. Added the following line in the image below. Hi guys, I've finally had a chance to poke around 4.0 (Beta 6), and was wondering about the possibility of adding Custom Input Validation to custom fields in Commerce (specifically regex), similar to how it is available in custom fields for Pages? e.g. - When creating a new custom field, select Text as the field type, and a new option for Custom Input Validation appears where you can enter the validation criteria. It seems to me there should actually be parity across Commerce and Pages custom field type options, at least as far as things like this, field length, and text formatting are concerned. I would love to have a custom commerce field automatically converted to upper case once submitted, as well as limited to a certain number of characters and the option of setting a default value! Thanks!

  6. Hi there, I'd like to be able to make a product expire after X amount of time without automatic renewal enabled by default. At the moment, customers can purchase a product that expires after X amount of time but they're automatically opted-in for renewal and they have to specifically cancel it. I don't want my customers to have to do this. I'd like them to be able to purchase the product and have the expiry reminders prior to the expiry giving them the choice to go and renew it... not the choice of having to go in to their account and cancel it. My only options at the moment are to have auto-renewal enabled by default and customers opt out, or have a product with no expiry time and I have to go through manually and KO them when I want them to expire (which sucks because there's no expiry warning emails, etc.).   7. I'm about to launch a private premium community and since Nexus doesn't have an affiliate system integrated I'm gonna have to do it manually using PayPal, third party software and manual account approval. I'm just saying this as a suggestion!

When logging into paypals dev site, I noticed they were talking about v.zero (another paypal company) and they are accepting PayPal, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Venmo, Bitcoin and most credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB and Diner’s Club. Would be nice to get an update to what we have already since we already have the ability to support paypal. One of my previous posts (https://community.invisionpower.com/topic/407519-bitcoin-via-stripe/) I mentioned that Stripe can accept bitcoin as well. With this add-on, you can automatically open the lines of communication by creating a ticket on the purchasing members behalf as soon as they've completed a purchase. The Automatic Reply allows a few keywords, namely the members name and the name of the package they have purchased. This allows you to tailor the automatic reply for each member.   10. I'm posting this topic because of point #2 mentioned in this bug report I made: For users that do not know about it it really is extremely confusing that the message is triggered. I don't recall what happens on 3.x but I believe it doesn't trigger the message. A reply further below in the comments mentions a possible solution (blacklist instead of whitelist). Editing fields that do NOT impact current purchases (like the description) should not trigger this totally useless message about updating existing purchases or applying the change only to new ones.
  11. In Nexus, it would be good to have an option on packages to "Ask for address" or not for none physical packages. We have a subscription package, which we don't need the users address for, a simple add to basket and checkout using Paypal is all that is needed. Since we have added merchandise, where we do require an address to ship products, the subscription package now requires an address for users to input despite been marked as none physical. This is a deterrent for members who just want a fast, easy and private transaction.
  12. Reference topic: It seems that with Commerce you cannot import (convert) legacy subscriptions data, either from when it was an official IPS app or a third party one. This does seem a little odd as Nexus 1.5.9 (on 3.4.x) *will* read the subs data and import it during install. See ~/nexus/modules_admin/convert/convert.php for specifics. The only solution to doing this is to install Nexus 1.5.x on board 3.4.x *before* upgrading to IPS4 as it does not appear possible to do this afterwards. My suggestion is simply to add some code to Commerce to do this if its practical.
  13. The Commerce Advertisements Sale system is amazing, but it can be better yet. I'll write some ideas to improve the Self-Service Advertisement System. The possibility to manage your purchased ads in the purchases area. See how many clicks or impressions it was received, how many time until it expires, your banner image, the ad location. And see when it is expired, also, the possibility to disable and enable your own ads anytime before it expires. An option to reactivate non-time-based expired Ads in purchases area (without change the settings), it is much more comfortable than create a new one even it expires. The possibility to charge for clicks and impressions based on the ad location. For example, an advertisement in page header can have a single click price of "0,15$" and impression price of "0,5$". And before the checkout, the customer can choose how many clicks your ad may receive before being disabled, and this is charged in the final price. An option to set the Advertisement priority. In this case, customers can pay more for the system to prioritize your ad at the time of randomization. One single customizable product. The customers can set the location and the clicks/impressions limit on the product settings before the checkout.
  14. Currently using Commerce for my online store, it is a lot better than what I was using. The only issue I am seeing is, I offer loads of options for my products, some options change the price of the main product, but at the moment there is no way to add prices to the custom options. Please implement this, as I feel this is the only feature Commerce is missing.
  15. What would be really cool though, is to allow an "up to" total for certain purchases and be able to associate categories. For example, lets say someone wants to sell a subscription every month of a box of 3 games/movies/toys. Main item is the box for 19.99 -Its associated with the category 'Games' -- Initial purchase allows your customer to select X titles (And it affects the main stock of the item) -- User selects more than X, error "Sorry this offer isnt valid for more than X items" or something like that. Same if its less than X, "Please add an item" When renewals come up, the renewal isn't processed until you select your X items. This could also be cool for sales on a per purchase basis too, say you're running a sale. "Buy any 5 for X.99" The basic functionality is there, but we don't have an option to limit how many items can be bought for the sale discount. It only has the 1 or more option, a just 1 option not a "No more than X total" option. You can kind of accomplish this by making a sale discount association for every single item, but again it would apply to every single item. If the limit is 3, they could still get the discount with the 4th, 5th, 6th etc etc item. We need a rule that if the limit is X, it stops. No more. For example, up to 5 items can be combined for the discount. The 6th would then be regular priced. or 10 would have the discount placed twice, unless you cant use the discount more than once. Edit: I made an example of what I was trying to explain, lol But, the general idea would be to have any of the above affect existing stock.
  16. Hello, I need to be able to add different banners at the top of multiple pages, forums and sub forums. Now i started off with the advertisement feature IP Board has to offer but gives me the same add across all pages (will get to the custom location in a second) and that's not what i wanted. Then just tried doing custom blocks and add one to each page. Whilst this worked for all my pages, when it comes to forums, the forums (home) page itself can be edited with a custom block in footer and will have no effect on forums/sub forums/topic. However when inserting a custom block/ad into any one of the specific forums/sub forums it effects all of them. My question, Through the advertisement app on IPB 4 how do i control a custom location? Can i have multiple different ad's across all sub forums and forums (different add per forum/sub forum)? if not is there an app to help me? I downloaded a $30 but turned out to be for ipb 3 and the dude making it has not given a date just the fact it's in development. If reading, thanks for your time

  18. Im trying to add a custom currency code with only 2 chars (its a virtual cc) The validation in the admin panel probably fails because there only 3 allowed. Is there a way to modify it directly within the database? I dont find where its stored there. Regards

Hey, support/guides/_/ips-community-suite-apps/ip-cont/raw-php-in-ipcontent-r282 This page suggests that when using a Manual PHP block, you have access to memberData. however: var_dump($this->memberData) // Produces a "Fatal Error" var_dump($this) // Returns NULL So I can only assume this documentation is out of date, Long story short, I'm also using IP.Nexus and need to check if a product has been purchased Can anybody point me in the right direction or maybe to some documentation I missed

I am trying to setup my users (forum) on one instance and my customers (shop) on another, I can change members group when a purchase is made on my shop instance; i can’t find a way to synch group membership on the other instance (forum) Is it possible to synch group membership between two IPS instances when SSO (IPS.Connect) enabled? Can someone explain the logic on how this work from a technical aspect? There seem to be a two way connectivity <-> A one direction connectivity -> or <- Or not enabled; but configured! The first two option seem to do the same thing, both <-> and -> <- directions will add or delete the user on both instances simultaneously, is that by design?

Hi, I would love to see a built-in feature for Commerce that would send automated PM/Email with instructions (any message body entered by board admin) etc. We have done it as custom on our previous 3.4.x board, however now it would be nice to have it built-in. Less customs makes the systems better.

  24. Hey, i added yesterday IP.Commerce, or better known as IP.Nexus to my forum, however im stucked in configuring it. The checkout require billing information, but im actually offering only non physical products. I also searched on various topics here, but they are mostly related to IPS <3.4. I have no physical product, no custom fields and no taxes. How can i disable the input of the billing address? Regards
  25. I am only selling a service and the billing address requirement is not needed. So to increase sales i want to make the process smooth (i had complaints about it, some people do not wish to share that info). Can anyone help me disable it? its turning my users off/
