@virap1 Pages database is beyond any application because you can use and customize any database the way you want not just a template to use for blogs/news.
If you want something to use for blogs/news, there are many good templates in the Marketplace.

They are all great templates made by good developers. If you know how to do it yourself, it would be great because as I pointed out that the Pages database is more than just a template for news/blogs.

The current coding uses auto flex-basis, so the widths are purely dependent on the width of the content. This was done to give each button equal padding on either side of the text. To change the buttons to all the same width, adding this to custom.css will modify it on your site:
    .ipsShareLinks > *{ flex: 1 1 10%; min-width: min-content; }
The UI update in 4.7.8 is just a minor polish. Larger updates such as this will likely be addressed in a larger update in the future 🙂
Strange - do you mind sending me the URL to that page so I can check?
If you haven't already posted this in the Suggestions forum, that would be ideal. It might be possible to restrict certain attachments (such as avatars) to a smaller value compared to regular attachments.

@Ehren nice work as usual, and I cannot wait to see what you are going to make for IPS 5.0.

Although if we're going to be making comparisons here, there is a distinction to be made between an unmanaged and managed VPS (with the latter the host takes care of almost all this for you).  Not to get too off topic, but there are things which, say, a VPS offers which Invision doesn't (and which the platform simply cannot at this point).  Not dissin', just sayin'.

I just don't see myself ever moving to cloud. I'm hosting multiple IPS sites on one dedicated box and the costs and customizability outweigh the price of any cloud packages for me. It would be triple if not more annually. I don't spend much time managing my server. I use cpanel/whm and pretty much set and forget, with the occasional updates. A lot of things are on autopilot. Now, if you are hosting others, custom packages, different software and such, then its more server management work. I'll also say that I don't run majorly busy sites with a need for massive architecture. Under 100K users each a month. If your dedicated server is only for you and you know what's on it and what you need, its not hard at all if you are using third party software like cpanel.
I've done a comparison and it costs me max $22-30 per site per month (depending on what apps) with server and IPS software updates. Yes, I am not taking into a consideration any more new sites where you have to pay the upfront software cost. I've long paid for that and will probably not add any more sites based on the direction with cloud features. Even upgrade fees used to be lower until they raised them to every six months. I was able to absorb that. I just would not be able to move to an $89 creator plan on each.  Even the beginner plan at $49 with forum only would not work for all my sites. In total, it would cost me $4-5K more per year in fees, which would come directly out of my earnings/profits. I see no reason for me to do that. I'd sooner move to another platform.
Now, if IPS comes out with some sort of discount per license that brings the prices way down and close to my current operating costs, I'd be willing to revisit. Just a little feedback 😉

I've been a client of IPS for about 17 years, and I am disappointed of the direction they are going in now. They are creating new features for their cloud clients even though they have several bugs that have gone unfixed for months. I haven't renewed my license because I feel like an idiot for paying for something that, after 17 years, I might not be allowed to use.

I have already read it mate long time ago, and I am aware of how the alert system works. If you read my posts, you will notice that I repeated twice that what I saw on Matt's video confused me for a second and @Daniel F has cleared that confusion.

Nice improvements, but it would be nice if IPS include it with Pages.

I wonder where's that roadmap after 1 year and 2 months.

Not just that.  Another example is the fact that the Pages app is missing many essential features, and the hump day topic pages pages pages has many great suggestions to make it better as it was a year ago or more. However, none of these suggestions or flaws have even been taken into consideration. It served only as another hump day discussion subject to increase participation from the members.

Not 100% true. I pay 300$/year appx (I try to renew mostly on time but life expenses take priority on hobby expenses).
I get your 80$ calculation but just mentioning like me and many others, have your other addons, which adds to 300$/year and we haven't seen any ground breaking changes in Pages, Commerce, Blogs, etc. since few years.
Commerce is worst application for my use and I hope it can be improved, so that I can use either Commerce/Nexus or Donation but not forced to use both. Apologies for off topic on Commerce addon.
