  1. I think there are a lot of people that would really appreciate that as well. It has become a very common issue with the new software on my forum. Maybe just an option in the cpanel that would allow us to choose which we want it to do. Either way, it should certainly be an option.
  2. We definitely need this. I have installed the RC on my live board, and thats about the only complaint I am getting. Everyone liked the way the old "view new posts" page worked
  3. That was a big reason why I posted this. It was hard to believe I was the only person upset with this release when there were SO many errors. People are working on it now for me in the tracker. It seems like when you do an upgrade from 2.3.6 the old modification and other crap like that really mess things up.
  4. I am adding things to the tracker as best I can... I'm just wondering if it is normal to have THIS MANY bugs. I mean, I know there are going to be bugs and erros and what not. I just didn't know if it was normal to have this many on the first RC... http://nflspot.com/froums You can go there and look at what I mean... When you try to quote people, the name of the user and time doesnt show up. There is lots of text on the homepage that is completely missing. You can't minmize categories. The right panel is completely messed up when you try to minimize and maximize that. The fast reply feature does work. You can't edit your signature.... It just seems like an awful lot of errors, even for an RC
  5. Is the first RC always this bad? What I mean by that is, there are just so many errors after upgrading from 2.3.6. I honestly don't know where to start when it comes to reporting bugs to the the tracker... This is my first time to be around during the Beta and RC phase, so I'm just wondering if this would be considered "normal"
  6. What exactly is "3.0 MSSQL driver"? Would that be how we would integrate our old forum into a freshly installed 3.0 board?
  7. Thanks for the sarcasm. And its a lot easier to say "the users can weight" than you think. I don't like the idea of my users not being able to trust me when I say our forum will be upgraded. I guess we could put up a new forum and get the skin ready there... It just seems to me though, that if the board is running fine here, that it would also be good enough to run for a week or two on my live board.
  8. I've been waiting for quite a while for the final release, like everyone here as. My forum members have been expecting an upgrade for sometime now. My original plan was to just wait for the final version to release, but because it has already taken so long, an urgency has hit. I'm thinking I am going to go ahead and upgrade my live forum with the RC1 Is that just stupid on my end? Or will it be alright. I'm fine with having a couple errors. I just want to be sure that I will be able to upgrade the RC's up until the final is released, and also be assured that there won't be a large error that wouldn't allow for me to do that... Any help is appreciated!
