You shouldn't lose anything (though back up your DB to be safe). I'm not saying uninstall or change anything in IPB, just download AT&P 3.1.8 fresh and try again.

Not sure what to tell you; I'm not aware of anyone else experiencing that problem with the current version. Could you try downloading and extracting the app again?

It was supported with free upgrades through the major release (3.x), all the way from 3.1 to 3.4. I don't have the license terms for that old version handy right now, but that's the policy I've always followed. IPS 4 is a completely different software package and architecture from IPB 3, requiring a complete rewrite and completely different code. You'll find the same policy is true for almost every other resource/application on the marketplace.

I think I got the point, guys... not working with 4.1.19. It was just released 21 hours ago. A little patience please. From what @Meddysong says, this is being caused by a bug in 4.1.19. You'll either need to upload the patch file given here to fix it, or wait for 4.1.19.1. Thanks Meddysong.

I don't have record of your purchase on the Marketplace, sorry. Did you just upgrade from 3.x, and you purchased on 3.x previously? That seems most likely. The 4.x version (what's currently on the Marketplace) is a separate purchase. All app settings will be maintained through the upgrade to the current version; IPB's normal tags and prefixes will continue showing up and working in the mean time.

I don't know that that is related to your issue of the prefix disappearing with the app enabled. That's more likely to do with app settings, or a theme conflict or something else. I don't recall without taking a close look. That being said, this app doesn't work that way. You can't enter any tag and choose one as a prefix with the app enabled--all prefixes must be predefined and enabled for a forum, and then you can choose one from a dropdown. The app description and screenshots make this pretty clear (I hope), and it is what most people who buy this app are looking for.

It's probably not related, but you should upgrade. The latest release is 4.1.18, and you shouldn't be running a beta release in production anyway. Did you set up prefixes in the app?

There is a tag cloud widget you can put on pages. There isn't currently a dedicated page listing out all tags.

I'm not sure what you mean. You can enable or disable tags/prefixes per-board, and you can also explicitly define the specific tags/prefixes allowed to be used in a given board. (For prefixes, it's required.)

It's a bug with IPS relating to how the data is loaded. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about it. The only thing wrong is the page count. Yes. Tags and prefixes are core IPS functionality (minus the added permissions, styling, etc. provided by the app). Tags will still be there even if the app is disabled or removed.

What filters or actions are you applying? Does anything show up if you go all the way into viewing one of the affected topics?

It's a known issue. I have not been able to isolate the root cause of the problem or find a solution that doesn't break my app in the process. I reached out to someone at IPS (a long while ago) but that never got anywhere. At this point, it's not moving anywhere. All I can suggest is temporarily disabling the app while you need to change DB settings.

You can control permissions for prefixes globally or on a per-prefix basis (by member group). You can control permissions for tagging globally, but not on a per-tag basis.

I understand the frustration. I'm frustrated too that something that worked perfectly for two years in IPS now not only doesn't work, but has no practical alternative way of being done. I contacted IPS about it and was told I'm on my own. If this were a bug that's easily and properly fixed, I would have done it when the issue was first raised.

I missed that, sorry. It changes only Easy Pages page URLs. I don't have an install immediately accessible to point you toward that section. You could try searching for 'furl'.

This probably isn't sufficient grounds for a refund, but you're welcome to take that up with IPS. They're out of my control. marketplace@invisionpower.com An alternative approach would be to create blocks for your pages' header and footer, and then add those blocks above and below each page you create. You could put any content or HTML you want in those blocks, including those starting and ending tags. Either way, this app is about giving you the power and flexibility to do whatever you want -- that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be easy. Your specific issue seems like more a result of your theme to me, but I'm not going to argue the point.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are asking. You can make pages look any way you want, but you'll have to use the appropriate HTML/CSS/classes to do so. You can use the forum wrapper or not, based on the page settings.

Yes. Thanks, I will look into that further down the line. I shouldn't have been so dismissive. What do you mean by edit a prefix? ACP > Manage Prefixes, and change the title? That won't update any corresponding tags/prefixes actually assigned to content. If that's so, you can change those tags/prefixes in the Manage Tags section.
