Thanks @Adriano Faria have been able to download and install the version for 4.4. WOW, what an addon, you have created an incredible piece of work...it is brilliant and well worth every cent. I need to come up with some other name for it though as yes it is Movies but also television shows but the app refers to everything as a Movie, and the breadcrumb shows movies - movies when you have categories of Movies and television Shows...can't think of a more appropriate name though. Brilliant job, thank you!

So how do get a copy after you have paid for it...bloody IPS, more darn frustration

It stops me and probably many others from doing any pre-work In fact their whole licensing arrangements stink...I have 2 licenses and only use 1 live install. I wanted to check to see if I could migrate a site from XF to IPS easily by installing a test version of IPS in a sub folder of the XF site but it didn't migrate well but it ties that test install to that domain and trying to get them to remove it is darn near impossible to the point I was near threatening legal action to overcome their arrogance. This just drives people away from using IPS in my opinion...you can see my extreme frustration with them 😡

I presume like many many others, I have a test/development copy installed on my local PC using xampp. Here I do all my testing and development of any changes to suit my live site first. I have this development/test environment for unit, system etc testing, I have a pre-production test environment on my live dedicated server for integration etc testing and then I have my live production environment. Nothing, I mean NO ADDONS, NO TEMPLATE CHANGES etc gets to a pre-prod environment until it is completely tested on my local PC first...this is the way I am sure even IPS do it. So why in hell can't I download and test addons etc in my development/test environment on my local PC...why has IPS stopped this with v4.5 especially when everyone is developing and testing v4.5: It seems like as IPS progresses further it becomes even more frustrating to use...it seems along with other licensing things IPS is trying their hardest to drive people away from IPS and straight over to Xenforo who make it easy to create what you need and manage your installs.

@Adriano Faria just purchased both Books and Movies but can't use either of them...with Books, when I click on v4.4 it says your addon is not compatible With Movies, it is the same plus with the version for 4.5 you can't install it for testing on your local PC 4.5 test install, 4.5 has to be installed as a live site

Damn it. just purchased this and didn't realise there wasn't a 4.4 version plus you can't download it and install it on 4.5 and test it out when your test IPS is on your local PC

Thanks @Adriano Faria however I thought I would just leave my site as it is now and when 4.5 comes out go all out and add all these great addons, including your Movie addon at the same time to show off to the users how great the upgrade from 4.4 to 4.5 is...no idea how much longer 4.5 is going to be though

I am so much buying this but it will have to wait till 4.5 is released...so much want to play with it now though...fantastic addon @Adriano Faria

Showcase is an addon for Xenforo...IPS converters don't do addons

I am looking for someone who could migrate around 400 entries that exist in an Xenforo addon called Showcase into an IPS Pages database. I have attached the tables for a look. The one issue would be the attachments as all the attachments associated with the records and mixed in with the general Xenforo attachment tables, 2 tables but these tables could have just the Showcase attachments extracted from them. Firstly thanks @Rhett for your reply Unfortunately that won't work. The situation is that I have a site that has been running for some time and naturally User #1 is Admin (me) which I have been using as my login, posting etc. and I wish to leave as the Administrator account. The situation now is that the site has grown and I need to differentiate myself and my posts from my Admin account. So I need to some way create another account, for example login "Ian" and have most of my previous threads and posts moved to the "Ian" user and leave "Admin" as is and as user #1 It would be easy if there was an IPS function to change the thread/post user to a different one which would have enabled me to just go through my posts and reassign the general discussion posts by "Admin" to the user "Ian"

I want to be able, just one time, merge 2 users without deleting one of them. Another way of looking at it is I want to move all the posts from one user to another user. Is there an easy way to do this? Do I comment out some code in a core file to stop the deletion, merge the 2 users and then restore the core code and if so what code and where? Any other thoughts on how I could achieve this...thanks for any help

Hi, I was wanting to change the content of an automatically created post from an RSS/Atom feed entry. Between the text content of the feed and the Link to the source I want to have: <iframe style="border: 0px;" id="view" name="view" src="<content_source>" width="100%" height="5000px" scrolling="no" frameborder="1"> Feed from Social </iframe> With the <content_source> in the above code to be the link to the RSS source as the src for the iframe. What I am trying to achieve is the post to contain what I had in Xenforo where an incoming RSS post was: [RSS Source text] [iframe containing the entire source web page] [Link to the RSS Source] Can anyone help with how I could do this...thanks in advance NOTE: The user that the post is attributed to has HTML permissions

I have the full Invision Suite including the store where I wish to sell products here in Australia. My bank has a credit card facility called PayWay: https://www.payway.com.au/about I have an online store using CS-Cart and take credit card payments using the bank's PayWay system. When a person makes a payment for an invoice they are transferred to the bank's payway system along with the total amount, they enter their credit card details in the bank's PayWay screen and are then transferred back to my shopping cart store and I get a notification from payway that their payment is approved and from my store on what they purchased. The whole system is similar to PayPal. An option to use when setting up PayWay is REST API: https://www.payway.com.au/docs/rest.html#payway-rest-api Can anyone help with how I set this up using Invision? What do I do and/or need to do for my Invision site to be able to take credit card payments from my site users...thanks for any help you can give

I have just purchased this addon and need to check that I have done it right. Objective is to ONLY ALLOW Australian users to register on my site. I have selected Whitelist only in the settings and created a rule:

Yesterday I received the invoice for another term of Classifieds but I will be holding off paying any more money on this addon whilst the menu system for it is so stuffed besides I think there is now another Classifieds addon available (although in its infancy stages) but includes Auctions as well...over to you @InvisionHQ on whether you give the menu system an urgent fix in the coming days before I decide whether to pay any more money for this

Can someone PLEASE help me with this as the same question has been asked by others here and there is no reply from the developer of anyone else. I don't like the way the menu system works with this addon as it goes against every other addon and especially IPS itself. There are sub menu options of: My Adverts My Renewals My Offers My Wishlist and these are placed in the user account menu and not as sub menu items and if you disable them in the app options then the user has no way of accessing them. If you enable them in the mobile menu through the app options then you get Classifieds as a menu item item twice. If you want the sub menu options within the main IPS menu like every other addon and what IPS does itself then you have a problem creating the links because: 1. My Adverts contains the user ID to their profile 2. The other options contain csrfKey in their links What I need is the links that can be used for the above in the IPS menu system so I can have: So I don't get things like: PLEASE can someone help me with this...the developer or anyone???

I would strongly 2nd this especially some way to link to a part of your site with the csrfKey

Thanks @Adriano Faria however @Lindy advised above that the deletion script should still run even if the function is turned off so I have no idea what is going on with it

What is the number of days before the spam pos5s get deleted as I have them going back to the 17th Jan so that is now 11 days...is there any way I can delete them all now

Thanks @Lindy on closer look I see the spam posts are in their own table so I presume one of my concerns is not valid in that this will prevent large holes in the IDs of the "good" posts table...I had thoughts that after a while my post ID would be up in the millions which would effect performance with extra storage etc i.e. post ID 12345 vs 123456789 (5 characters vs 9 characters). I have also found the Gallery is also saturated with spam posts. Thanks for your explanation, I have turned it off on all my sites now

Well @bfarber you may be correct but one site now has over 20,000 spam over just the last couple of days...that is hurting my site performance, storage capacity, site backups etc so sorry to say but as I said HUGE MISTAKE ever having this non-feature turned on at all. If it takes a rolling week before the software deletes some I have a site with 5,000 real posts and possibly over 100,000 spam posts...yea great idea and very funny to say hyperbolic. Now @bfarber if I turn this site destroying feature off now, will the software keep deleting the spam posts for the next week or by turning it off does it also turn the delete function off as well?

You don't see them unless you look in the database. One of my sites has more spam than posts but luckily the spam posts don't show

I had the Post Before Registering turned on and have just looked at my data and found my site is saturated with spam posts. In one forum every single thread has a spam post at the end of it...over a couple of thousand spam posts. I have now turned off the Post Before Registering but can anyone tell me what happens to the spam posts now...luckily they don't show in the site for users to see but how can I get rid of the ones that have already been made now that I have turned this "non-feature" off...thanks
