I was finally able to port this over to IPB 2.3 Portal System 3.0.2. The core plug-in is still copyrighted to BFarber, and all copyrights are to remain in place in order to use this plug-in. The block lists the MAIN categories in your IDM System, along with its description. Simply follow the instructions, that are included, to install. I was finally able to port it over to the IPB 2.3 BFPortal 3.0.2. The core code belongs to bfarber, and all copyrights must remain intact to use this plug-in. Please understand 1 thing, this plug-in shows the file thumbnail, file name, download category, and author for the last five files uploaded to the site. I personally have mine narrowed down to the "Last 4 Files" because the block can be rather long due to the thumbnail size of 170x136. If you want to shorten the list down to 3 or 4 or decrease the size of the thumbnails or get a bit customized with a center TABLE -- I will post the proper steps to take to make it happen. File Name: [Flint] BFPortal Plugin - Tell A Friend Block File Submitter: Widescreen File Submitted: 24 Oct 2008 File Category: XML Imports, Tasks, and Plugins This plug in puts a "Tell A Friend" block on your BFPortal. I took over the [Sneak] Tell A Friend mod from cinek last year. I was asked if there was a way to make the username and email "read only" -- at that time, I didn't know how to make that happen for the custom block that I made for the bfportal back then. Now, I do. Here it is, the Tell A Friend plug in for the BFPortal! It adds a block to the portal that allows you to send an invitation to any friend of yours. It automatically inserts your username and email -- and your username and email are read only -- that way you, nor anyone else for that matter, may send an invite from your site using different usernames and emails -- unless of course they log into your site under a different username. Anyway, you need to have my other mod [Flint] Tell A Friend installed on your forums to use this plugin -- you can find that module at Invisionize.com.
