I don’t have a business in my name. Even making one up they ask for payment option to be enabled on the account and verification. Not sure why I need a payment method on my account. Facebook are making something that should be easy to use, very difficult and to many hoops to jump through.

I know it's frustrating, as they keep having recurring checkups, however it generally doesn't take that long to complete the checkup.  

I suppose they're just covering their backside. They're making you state that you're having this or that policy and doing this or that with the data etc... so that if they're ever sued again (remember they just paid $725,000,000 to settle a privacy lawsuit in 2022), they have all their ducks in a row. 

I usually go through the checkup with a few issues and get there in the end. but this time round they are asking for me to have a business account or create one to complete the checkup.

i don’t have a business so cannot go any further, so looks like I won’t be using Facebook in the future. Trying to contact Facebook seems impossible.

Every year they say the same old thing 

We weren't able to review your app because we are missing information required from you to complete our review. This violates Platform Term 7.a.

The information they require is a test account that is always available to them in my app settings, each time they try and register a new account to test and review the app. I manually approve all new registrations so they fail the review due to not being able to access the forum. Time and time again i tell then not to register new accounts for testing and use the test account available to them. I banned them at one point and that did not go down to well with support 😁

I always get through the app review but the business one is going to be difficult. 

Anyway back to my question? if i disable Facebook login, the members who registered using Facebook to create their account. Will they be able to use the default login method ? or will they get locked out of the forum.

Its that time of year that i have to go through the pains of Facebook reviews, sorted the testing of the app. 

This new one i am not sure i can complete as my forum is not a business and don't have a verified business to link to 

Data Use Checkup

This annual checkup now requires that you connect apps to a verified business and answer data handling questions.

What do i need to do to stop my app from being suspended ? to be honest i am getting fedup with jumping through hoops with Facebook and may well disable it.

If its easy to sort out i will continue but if not is there a way to convert my facebook users to normal logins

With the 30th October fast approaching, will market place purchases  and keys still be available after the 30th. Some developers have still not got their sites setup or an alternative way of accessing brought files. Thank you

i get the same email from Facebook each year.

Something that really annoys me is they ask for login details to access, test and review but then i notice Facebook create another account them self's. I have contacted them about creating extra accounts and they say its to test the login function further. The mail they send is just a default form sent out.

The mysql tool box used to have a fix shown on the table, table backed up then clicked fix or run a query.

No used it for a while now though as upgrades seem to go without issue (touch wood) 🙂

Yes i can see the security reason, i really only used it for basic management. when a table needed fixing after a upgrade as it was quick to use. Was also quick to check after upgrades.

Running latest IPs version, in admin cp in Get support is there still an option/link to view MySQL database tables. Not used it for a while but used to be able to check and manage the database from admin cp.

Looking to reduce the amount of custom themes in use on my forum, is there a way to show what themes are being currently used by members.

There was a way to show how many members using each theme but i cannot remember.

I have had this happen, same user name and email address. Doesn’t happen that often and have never been able to pin point why it happens. My server runs fast but may be slow connection on members side.

No don't use her, see will take you money and you will have trouble getting the theme updated and have no support.

Not used create new member for a while in admin cp.

On my forum registration i have required profile fields that members need to complete when creating their account

How can i add additional options to the create new member form? is there an option that i have missed? It will just save me time re-editing the new account i just created with the additional info..

Not looked in a while at Reputations and still using the old Reputation system but added back points etc my self, don't plan on changing to the new one at present.

What's should be showing in Reputation Activity ? as i have noticed nothing shows in that part for any member. Have i missed an option some where?

i am sure there was an easy way to change them from marketplace to custom or the other way round, i remember when the market place was first introduced a lot of people made an error with their selection when running the marketplace tool. used to be able to re-run the marketplace tool but that was quickly disabled once used.  support updated some members installs for them.

Anyway Never mind wont dwell on it 😇,  will sort it my self.

Think i have found a way my self just need confirmation that nothing else is effected, changed and tested and works ok in my demo forum. Is this ok?
