I'm also into Jack Reacher, but particularly fond of Dan Brown.  I don't get as much time to read these days, except when going to bed.  I still prefer paper back, especially when you doze off.  Better than a kindle wacking you is the nose! (can't bring myself to the modern age, part of a dying breed I guess),
Though my all time favourite is Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl.  I read it when I was 12, and loved it.  Now reading it with my 8 year old Son.

I like fantasy books. Right now I am reading a serie by a French Canadian Author Anne Robillard called Les Chevaliers d'Émeraude. I am at tome 3 out of 12. I think they are also available in english under the name The Knights of Emedald. Very good serie.

I've just started reading Jurassic Park again. I read the abridged version back in 1994 when the movie came out, but haven't read the full-length novel before.

I'm about to go on holiday so will have to rummage through the not-read shelf and work out which to take with me. It's currently looking like this:

If you've reached the conclusion that I like Ken Follett, you get the cookie. I've read all of his books in English and it's become a tradition that I buy his book Eye of the Needle in any language I passively understand if I can find it. The burgundy book is the Romanian version, although I'm not going to tackle it yet until I find the time to put more effort into learning the language first. I tend to buy Follett's books in other languages, too; I really enjoy them but they're not difficult to read.
I can see four Follett books in Portuguese there (bought for practice before going on holiday a few weeks back, although I only had time to read half of the books which Santa gave me, so these ones are left behind), two Spanish ones (a similar story for a holiday last year), plus an Italian one. It looks as though I have books in Gascon (a children's one, so it won't be difficult), French (the two Star Wars ones), Esperanto, and Slovakian (which I actually bought for my wife but didn't dare give her -- it's a biography of the inventor of Esperanto, so more my area of interest than hers) ... plus an Occitan course book. Don't have time, unfortunately.
I seem to get on well with historical fiction, so there are a few books which are the first in their series to try. If I get on well with book 1, the completist in me strikes and I start working my way through the lot. I really don't find the time to read very often anymore (hence the stack of Portuguese and Spanish books which I didn't manage to get to on time) so I'm looking forward to going away for two weeks at the weekend as the time of year in which I can leave work mostly to one side and sit down with a few good books ?

I'd be curious to see how IPS envisages using an IP.Pages database as a leaders-only discussion over trouble members or topics.  How is that better than just using a moderator forum or the actual ModCP?
There are some big insights on this article that aren't identified on their own but govern some broad principles to community management:
    1. Keep your rules uniform -- I think it's important to keep your rules consistent and uniform for all members.  It makes it easier to moderate, easier to remember, and easier to enforce.  It also doesn't allow members to go crazy in certain topics and then have to switch personalities to participate other topics.
    2. New members vs Veteran members -- this is another great point that sometimes we, as admins, may forget about.  A new member is just trying to get accustomed to the site, and their enthusiasm shouldn't be mistaken for policy mistake.  I personally focus more on educating  new members when there's a problem ("did you know about this policy, here's what you could have done instead, etc").  A  veteran member, however, should be more familiar with the rules and I'm more willing to be stricter with veteran members than new members.
    3. Steward - Users give us their time, attention, intellectual capital, insight, humor, and clicks.  Collectively, that forms a community and I think its important to remember that even though those actions and items are freely given, they need to be nurtured on behalf of something that's not just of my own making.  As an admin, it's easy to take credit for the success of the community.  But I think a proper admin knows that he's really a steward of everyone's contribution.

Good stuff, Matt. When I started using Pages it took me a while to get to grips with it. A video like this will come in very handy for other new users, I'm sure.
My main site's still under development and has quite a bit of Pages powering it. I don't want to link to it whilst it's still not ready but here's an example: a pronunciation database for language learners, powered by Pages:

Nice done, it looks like you could do this even in 4 minutes . Please more examples of pages usage and include more ready to use templates like @opentype is offering.
On my site the pages app is a large part of my community, use it for reviews, as a link directory, for model sedcards, article magazine, quote database by @opentype .

Dare I should show my office (man cave) and risk a take-over?  Location:  On the water somewhere in Missouri.  And yes it "rocks", literally.

It lacks the orderliness of everybody else's, I feel, but it's my attempt to look modern: two monitors with a laptop docked to them, etc. But yeah ... cables everywhere, shoved off to the side where they won't get in the way. And try not to notice that the main monitor is millimetres too tall for its location when connected to its own stand, so I've had to knock up a fairly rubbish wooden frame for it and wedge it in there. At least I have lighting, though! (It's a strip light, Matt, for added points!)

I tried to use the available space and use a configuration with Santech N87. I gradually improved the desk by sawing the shelf in three and bought 4 partial extraction guides to have the possibility to slide each floor.
Finally I installed an Arctic Z1 to be able to move at will the monitor especially when I have to work with friends.
