  1. @Charles, what setting do I change to reduce the amount of data indexed?
  2. I set it up on Tuesday, it's been two days and only 25 posts have been archived. I'm archiving 30,000 total. Is there anyway to speed up this process?
  3. Thanks, I just set that up. Is there anyway to monitor the status of the archiving process? How do I know when it's done? My main database will shrink and the remote database will grow?
  4. Thanks, I hadn't considered option 2. Am I allowed to have two installations of IPB, there won't be a license issue? One for an archive of old posts? Charles seemed to indicate there was a way to reduce the search index in settings. But I can't locate them.
  5. Search index was taking up the most space. I disabled search and that reduced the size of the table, but now a few days later, it's back up to 2GB again. But search is still disabled. Where are these settings to reduce the search index? I can't seem to locate them.
  6. I'm not interested in changing my hosting plan or provider. If my largest tables are the search index at 2.5GB and posts at 1.8GB, then why is the overall database size 7.5GB? Does that add up? Could I disable search and then delete the search index table?
  7. Never mind, switching back to PHP 7.4 fixed it.
  8. Never mind, switching back to PHP 7.4 fixed it.
  9. I was trying to update my software to the latest version via the AdminCP, and now I'm getting a 500 Internal Server Error. Can't access the AdminCP. I tried using constants.php to get into Recovery Mode, but that's not working either. Any ideas?
  10. I'm trying to update to the latest software version, but it keeps telling me I need to fix my database by running these queries: UPDATE `ibf_core_output_cache` SET `cache_expire`=0 WHERE `cache_expire` IS NULL; ALTER TABLE `ibf_core_output_cache` DROP INDEX `cache_expire`, CHANGE COLUMN `cache_expire` `cache_expire` INT NOT NULL DEFAULT 0 COMMENT 'Unix timestamp of when the cache expires', ADD KEY `cache_expire` (`cache_expire`); I tried running the queries manually. But when I click "Check Again" it just displays the same message. I tried clicking "Fix Automatically", but that doesn't work either. Still displays that message. How can I get past this?
  11. I got the following message from my web host. I need to decrease the size of my IPB database. Any suggestions for how I can get the total size to under 3GB?
