Miss_B got a reaction from dmaidon1 in Rebuilding the Members' Achievements failedThis could be a bug imo. I've seen another topic here with this very same problem.

Miss_B reacted to Ehren in Star for threads I've posted inThe star has made its return and should be available in 5.0.2, due next week.

Miss_B reacted to Marc in Malicious pop up advertsThere is no clear answer to this, as it depends where they are coming from. The only advise we can give from a software perspective is
Ensure you are on a latest release
Replace all files with a fresh set from stock
Check nothing has been added to conf_global.php or constants.php
Revert to a default unaltered theme
Remove any 3rd party items

Miss_B got a reaction from Ibai in Invision Community 5.0.1 ReleasedGlad to hear it.
Is there anything in the logs that might explain what happened during the upgrade process?

Miss_B got a reaction from Mick23 in When a topic is locked, also prevent reactions being changed? This suggestion gets my vote as well.

Miss_B got a reaction from Adriano Faria in Is it possible to have a "cover image" for a post without inserting image in post? You can ask at @Adriano Faria 's forum. He is a very good coder.

PHP 8.2 is not supported by version 4, please downgrade to 8.1.
You can also try recovery mode once you are 8.1 to eliminate any conflict from third party items.

Sometimes when a heated topic gets locked, some of the bad apples will go and make passive-aggressive reactions on various posts.
Would it be possible, in a future release, to prevent reactions being added or removed on a locked thread?

Miss_B reacted to Donnie95 in 1S111/1 Column 'last_poster_name' cannot be nullno, but I fixed the issue by simply manually running the task multiple times.
I think it happens when the last poster is a deleted member. It will rarely happen again so not a big deal.

Miss_B got a reaction from Donnie95 in 1S111/1 Column 'last_poster_name' cannot be nullCan you go to the phpmyadmin, select the forum's database and go to the forums_forums table, and once there click on the Structure tab? From there select the last_poster_name and see what value it has under the Default column.
It can be that the aforementioned column is declared as NOT NULL, and therefore it will not accept NULL value(s). If that appears to be the case, it needs to be changed to allow the NULL value(s). i.e. to make it nullable.

Are you looking at old logs? Yesterday, Daniel said he had fixed these issues for you.

Miss_B got a reaction from PPlanet in Invision Community 5.0.0 ReleasedI think that you will be credited with extra months in your license depending on how long you have been a customer. But as mentioned above, everything will be explained in details if you click the convert license link.

Miss_B reacted to Daniel F in 500 error page on topics after upgrade to 5I'm working on this now but some important information, maybe they're useful to others finding this topic:D
IPS4 translations are not compatible with IC5! That's a really important point. You've run into the same issue as here with your France translation.
IPS4 themes are not compatible
It seems that you haven't uploaded all files, correctly, but unfortunately I'm not able to connect to the SFTP server we have on file. If you restrict access to your server by IP, please whitelist 144.202.11.32

Miss_B got a reaction from Jan Reidar Storelvmo in TagsYou can create tags from the Tags section in your Admin Panel. i.e. Acp->System->Content Discovery->Tags.
Ips has released the Ipb 5 Final version in the meantime.

Miss_B reacted to Adriano Faria in [Feedback] Reaction in private messages. No way. Absolutely not. I don’t need and don’t like to reinvent the wheel.

Miss_B reacted to EliasM in Please stop removing featuresIt's getting annoying to talk about this a lot, the owners of this site are free to sell their product as they please, and we as users are free to stay with them or look for an alternative, so look for an alternative or simply hire a developer to add the feature you desperately need as your code does not include encrypted files.
Personally, I see that version 5 made Invision Community the best forum platform among competitors.

Miss_B got a reaction from Marc in Invision Community 5.0.0 ReleasedThe upgrader will take care automatically of all the changes needed with the vanilla out of the box system. Data added by third party stuff isn't covered. You will have to clean them up on your own.

Miss_B got a reaction from Ehren in Invision Community 5.0.0 ReleasedFantastic job on Ipb 5! It's the best forum softare currently out there. Miss_B got a reaction from Utz Klöppelt in Welcome to Invision Community 5Yes, that might very well be the case. There might also be extra tables left over by old third party stuff. The best way to go about this imo is to install a new forum at your test installation and then compare its tables with those from your main forum's database to weed out the extra tables that aren't a default part of your main forum's database.

Miss_B reacted to Charles in Please render "Ban by IP Address" alwaysIn 2025 we do not really recommend banning by IP address. It's incredibly easy to bypass. It is also something where you can accidentally ban real people. We have seen people ban IPs and end up banning entire networks.
