iamART reacted to Matt in Twitter's Mid-Life Crisis and the IPS Promotions Feature
We're keeping that as you can still use the 'internal' method but we'll be reviewing all our promotion tools to make sense of them as we have a few ways now (pinned, featured, promoted, etc).

Long as your records stay set, nameservers for root domains and CNAME records for subdomains on our Cloud, there’s no issue from our point of view.

Marketplace contributors will need to set up their own site to handle selling and support.
We are looking to put together a community directory that will at least make it easier to browse all of the files from all themers and developers. We will announce in October. Thank you to all of the contributors who have already started cross listing their files.

iamART reacted to Vakarian96 in Improvements in the awarding of points and achievements.
When a user writes something, the content counter increases, as it should.
At some point, the user rank is increased, badges are assigned and groups are promoted.
If you delete content now (e.g. spam in a club) the counter does not decrease, user rank remains and a user who effectively has almost no content because everything is always deleted has a high rank and so on.
There are rules like new content created (+10 points), user followed (+2 points), you could also get negative rules like content is deleted (-8 points), user is unfollowed (-1 point)?
Could you get an option that content from clubs will not be counted, content from forums where the option that content will not be counted is set, will not be included in the forum statistics.
And last but not least, that when you rebuild achievements, you could select which achievements are not affected.
As an example from practice:
The success "Visit our community at Easter".
For this we have created a rule, which is active for the Easter days and then deactivated again. With a new build of the successes, this success is withdrawn from all users.
This would make the whole system, which is really nice and well received in the community, a little more solid against abuse.

These are questions best answered in your sales ticket, however wanted to answer the "Other questions" part
It very much depends on the workload we have at the time, and how easily you can get your backups done. Usually though, it can be done pretty quickly
The cloud environment scales accordingly.
If you are using the main domain with us, you would actually point to our nameservers. If you want any additions to your DNS, you simply ticket us and we can add them. This is something we do all the time.
You can. You would just drop us a message, and we can make that change at any point

What an era THIS was, though, huh? I feel old seeing this now, as this is what forums looked like when I started using them.
Getting back on topic, and forgive me if I missed it, are there any alternative marketplaces being created that can provide 3rd party plugins/themes?

@Joel R is taking the lead in creating a central location where all devs can list their apps in an organized, marketplace-like, structure.
I'm sure there will be still be a developers forum here where such apps can be announced and discussed as well, just like on every forum software providers site.

v5 is a significant step forward for UI, discovery, noise versus signal and brand matching. Change is hard but it is kind of inevitable.
If nothing changed, then we'd still be using this:
And while you could absolutely run a successful community on that product even now, the chances of attracting new members would be low given the expectations modern audiences have for UI and ease of use.

Glad to hear that you got things resolved! Keep in mind that the system checks the URL for it to be 100% exact, down to the HTTPS and WWW (or non-www) so need to ensure you install at that exact same URL.

The file has been approved to the marketplace, but not with the latest version. I've just submitted the latest version which include some improvements and a bug solution based on the feedback of @breatheheavy which has been testing this for a few days now.
If someone can't wait for the new version to be approved just PM after buying and I'll drop you the latest version there.

How hard would it be for someone to create a plugin/app to integrate Printful.com with Invision's commerce addon? Printful has a plugin for platforms such as WordPress where you can import your products onto your store.
With the api you can do a whole bunch much like the WordPress plugin.
