  1. Facebook post embedding does not seem to work for me. Currently I only see the following products. Has fb discontinued the integration of posts? Anyone knows how to do it these days?
  2. I use a few mods from opentype. They work great and support (when needed) was top-notch. Highly recommended.
  3. It would be great to have a recent topics per forum feature. When viewing a list of forums in the same category, let's say there are only about 3-4 forums listed, it would be very useful to have a widget underneath that shows recent/active topics within the above forums. It would animate users to enage and fill in that empty space below the forums list. The combined fluid view is an alternative way of achiving something similar, but this way the subforum itself is moved somewhat into the background... Or is there another way to achieve this with existing tools/workaround/add-ons?
  4. Thanks @Jim M for your support. I just tested this by removing the potential conflicting category. The filters still do not show. I also tested in on another section where I have just two simple subforums (BMW and Mini). But the filters do not show. Interestingly, if I use fluid view on a global scale, the filters do show, as designed. If actived per forum, it merges the topics, but now filter is displayed. Edit: Just tested it by disabling third party apps. And it worked! So I will check which one it is...and found it: The app "Different sidebars for each forum 1.1.0" is causing the conflict.
  5. Hi, yes there are two child forums in this example. Here the view of the main forum with activated combined fluid view: https://www.elektroauto.community/forums/forum/174-ladeanbieter-ladestationen-und-wallboxen/ Child Forums here (direct links): https://www.elektroauto.community/forums/forum/7-private-ladeinfrastruktur/ https://www.elektroauto.community/forums/forum/199-öffentliche-ladeinfrastruktur/ Above are links to the live version running v4.6.12.1
  6. Testing the new fluid view per forum feature, but the filters to refine which forum content to display is not shown in the sidebar. Cache cleared. Logged out/in. Still does not display. Fluid listing works though as designed. What else could I do the get the filters displayed? Version: 4.7 Beta 8 Thanks for any pointer!
  7. I am also doing some more research on this topic as I experienced that more and more websites show now cookie banners that are going well beyond the simple "Yes, I accept" button. How did you eventually implement a compliant solution? Did you use an external provider as listed above? Are there any free, open source banners that work well with Invision Community?
  8. Ok, got it sorted. The base url in the conf_global.php file was not yet 'https'. Using https solved the error (mixed content) shown in the browser console.
  9. Thanks for that ultra-quick response and thank you for pointing out in which direction to check! I will have a look at it.
  10. I cam across an issue on my staging website where the file listing of the template editor is not working as it should. It flashes a split second when loading the page, but then the left column where the file listing should appear goes blank. On my live website it works as intended and the file listing shows. To rule out any difference on the staging website, I made a fresh install on the staging site, using an exact copy of the the live version. What could be the reason for this behavior?
  11. The Cloudflare Community came to the rescue with the right pointer. The 'activity log' of the firewall rules shows the details of the triggered event. What I now did, is to allow the Invision Community user agent...This resolved the issue and login to the marketplace is no longer blocked. There might be better solutions. Suggestions are welcome 🙂
  12. Hi all, thanks for your suggestions. just tried a few things: Cleared caches, tested live website, adjusted settings in CF. It is still the same. Found a quick fix: 1. Pause Cloudflare temporarily 2. Login to Marketplace 3. Activate Cloudflare again At least this way it's possible to continue with upgrading etc..This also confirms that it seems to be a Cloudflare setting. Guess I will need to reach out to their support.
  13. My community is self-hosted and I use the free Cloudflare plan together with IC. Works quite well! One problem though I have, is that Cloudflare seems to block login to the Marketplace and the error below is shown. In Cloudflare I whitelisted the URL as follows: Firewall > Firewall Rules: This unfortunatey does not resolve the issue. I am aware that this is an issue around the configuration of Cloudflare, but I hope since many IC installations use Cloudflare, someone might be able to help how to whitelist the marketplace URL. Thanks!
  14. That was it. I started blocking ASNs using Cloudflare. I found the resprective ASN numbers by entering the IP addresses into a Whois lookup site, providing also the corresponding ASNs. After blocking about 8 of them, bot traffic dissapeared.
  15. Actually I have not really been successful so far. Traffic is still 10x higher and IC reports 100 users online, thereof only about 10 are real/good bots. Although Cloudflare offers tons of options, the bots or the traffic somehow get through. Only if I block entire countries, it get's to normal levels. Tried: - Blocking individual IPs - Blocking ASN Numbers - Using JS Challenges / Captcha - Under attack mode (not so good for user experience...) - Rate limiting and of course all the other bells and whistles that can be turned on using the free Cloudflare plan. And I have the feeling the Pro Version does not really make a difference. Or should I just give up and hope it goes back to normal levels one day?
  16. Thanks for this tip! Much appreciated. I've signed up with it and see what it can do. So far I had not really issues with bot traffic. But recently...
  17. I know it's an old topic, but es prevention strategies, tools and bots evolve, I thought it's worth a new topic. Since a few days I get an unusual high number of visitors to my site. Instead of 10 users on average in a given time, there are now 100. Bots! They visit different pages but so far no registrations or content spamming was observed. I tested whether they would respect robots.txt instructions. They don't. So I modified my htaccess file to prevent all countries, except the ones my normal users are from, to be blocked. This is effective and bots are no longer visiting, but it also blocks good bots, e.g. from search engines. I've tried adding the malicious IP addresses to the htaccess file, but it seems it's hard to catch 'em as they seem to be changing. When clicking on the IP address in the "Who is online" list, the bots seem to be from Moscow, Rio, Philadelphia... What other options do I have to prevent these bots from sneaking around? Could they somehow be identified? If so how? The system log file does not show any unusual entries. Any tip is highly appreciated. Thanks
  18. @Morrigan I am also looking into ways to make the "create" menu look better. How did you remove the unwanted menu items? Can this somehow be set? I am particularly interested in the menu items for database records. Also, I am looking at ways to modify the URL a menu item points to. Is it somehow possible?
  19. Thanks for this hint. Yes, I've tried that and it works on dates that are displayed within the calendar app. But it does not have an effect on the date display when choosing a date from the picker. The picker itself (dropdown) is perfectly fine. It's the display of the date in the frame of the picker (suggested start date) - as shown above - that is still shown like MM/DD/YYYY. There it would be nice if it could also be set so as to show as DD/MM/YYYY. But I guess this setting is somewhere hardcoded?
  20. Dates show in my community as configured (DD. MONTH YYYY). However, dates in the date picker of the calendar app are displayed in this format: Is there a way to make dates appear in the same format as elsewhere, e.g. 29/08/2021 ? Thanks for any pointer.
  21. I am using version 1.0.3.1 and it works fine with 4.6.x. Have not tested it with version 1.0.8. An update would be great. Looks like it would have to become an application though (see Stuarts comment above).
  22. I have been updating my site to 4.6.x and this plugin works also on this version.
  23. @Luciann I see. The above plugin offers quite extensive options, so it might be a bit overkill. I actually implemented in the end a quite simple method. I used the slider resp. code shown on the w3schools Website and added it to my "homepage" using the pages app. https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_slideshow.asp Final result can be seen here.
  24. @Luciann might this perhaps work for you? I am in the search for a slider solution for my intro page and was thinking to use the above.
  25. @brainweare If I recall correctly, I had a similar or the same behavior. I think I fixed it by just calling the pages in the menu bar using the full URL, like external pages. Would this be a solution?
