So, the user discloses his full name, wants users to call him by that name, then gets mad when users do so?

With that said, it wouldn't hurt to try to help him as much as possible by simply changing his username.
You can also run an SQL query or word Filter to change all prior instances of his first name to his new username.

We actually recently added a review of notification functionality to our internal list, and this is one of the pain points that came up. We'll hopefully be able to address it in the not too distant future.

Do you mean a new page with an editor input field and all the posted content + a feature to reply to this new content, literally the same as on profiles?

Fierce God reacted to opentype in Multiple Subscription plans????
The subscription system is meant to allow upgrades and downgrades, so you can only have one at at time.
The older system of creating a renewable product does allow any number of parallel subscriptions.

IPS is already in compliance with local laws. Search for GDPR, for example.
Regarding not purchase a 3rd-party resource, that’s a decision you have to make. Fine if you don’t want. But as every coin has two sides, there’s another price to pay: the loooooooong wait for something to be implemented. IPS are aware of the “deactivate account” feature request, for example, for almost 2 (yes, two!) years:

Contact @Spanner for a custom app.  It's private but he's developed exactly what you want for another gaming community.

I really think you should just move those summit climbs to a second stream.
On my community, I have different streams for different apps.  For eaxmple, if you're in the Gallery, my menu will show New Images and New Comments.  You can do the same thing with your streams and menu.  Create a new stream only got summit climbs, and remove them from your main stream.
I don't think it's good to limit.  If you limit, then people can't go back to see prior successful climbs.

I've had success with a combination of donations, subscription packages (3.00/5.00/10.00/20.00 annually) and also having VigLink affiliate links (e.g., turns links to say eBay or Amazon in posts into affiliate links that if a click through ends up in a purchase, I get a small percentage of the sale.
I think also being transparent about the costs of running the site and the costs of the Invision software with your users helps tremendously in their understanding that to run a site costs money.

Private ads are the way to go. Your niche and how well known your site is will dictate if this is feasible or not

Ah yes 'Group Name Indicator' 🙂 Various versions of that have been around for a very very long time, certainly since 2.0.x if not before, either as a modification or as a skin/theme tweak to display the legend.
Its always been a relatively popular 'addon' a bit like the 'Members online today' or 'recently', again available in various guises since ancient history.😀 As they are quite generic in nature and do suit a wide variety of communities, regardless of their niche. 🙂

Microsoft Edge (based on Chromium) will allow PWA websites to now appear in the top level of Windows start menus.  That's pretty amazing.

Fierce God reacted to KT Walrus in Progressive Web App Support
Yes. PWA is a mobile app that still runs with its own browser (so it looks like a native app). You can even place your PWA in the app store (branded for your site) to make installation easier. Currently, on iOS, you "install" PWAs by visiting a website that has a PWA and doing "Add to Home Screen" in the Sharing menu. I'm not an Android user, but I think Chrome even prompts you to "install" a site's PWA when you first browse it.
If you want to try PWA on your iPhone (or Android phone), try out Twitter's PWA. Just browse to the website in Safari (or Chrome) and "Add to Home Screen". It is well done. Twitter's native app is probably based on the same PWA technologies only the native app isn't restricted in what JavaScript can do.
BTW, PWAs aren't a single technology but a collection of web APIs in a browser. The apps are designed to be "progressive" in that if the browser doesn't support a particular API, the app will still work (only probably not as full featured to those using a Chrome-based browser). Safari only has partial PWA support at this point, but iOS 12.2 made some decent gains towards fuller PWA support.

Most of the time it means the file has not been marked as compatible with recent versions and therefore it has been deactivated by IPS.

It's an addon, so I searched the 'Marketplace topics' forums for bot and online as you are looking for something showing bots in the online list.
    First hit:

I would tell you to put them on your ignore list, but ... Then you'd be trying to ignore the people who are ignoring other people, and apparently you see ignored messages anyways.

Fierce God reacted to AndyF in Show me the Bots!
I though there was but I think it was the one you indicated that's not relevant for newer versions. I did find a file to move them to a different group but that's not what you had in mind I suspect. Unsure if search engines still consider this as 'cloaking' actually I'm well out of date on S.E.O...
I'll link to said file anyway > https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/8870-dp42-bot-group/
But as I say I don't **think** this is what you're actually looking for as I do not see it showing a counter for them being in another group, but I could be wrong. Would be well worthwhile a minute to ask the author about that. :)

You have a ipsButton_fullWidth in there. That causes the expansion. More about that here: https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/themes-and-customizations/css-framework/buttons-r96/
There is more useful stuff in that section, e.g how to center elements: https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/themes-and-customizations/css-framework/typography-r98/
