  1. Thanks, @Jim M. Could you please delete my name from quoted emails on this and other threads, since I'm not able to? thank you!
  2. @Jim M Ok, we'll get on that and let you know. One final thing: I got a Google alert that my posts in this forum are findable on Google, not only to fellow Community members here. Are they supposed to be public to the world? If my posts will be searchable publicly then I do not want my name on them. Please advise how I can change this, I wasn't able to do it on my end. Thank you!
  3. Thanks @Jim M - Another issue that we noticed is happening: On our Invision community admin page we are getting this error message: *** Public Display of PHP Errors Enabled Your server is set to display PHP errors. This is not recommended for production environments as it may cause sensitive information to be publicly disclosed. You should contact your hosting provider or system administrator and ask them to set the display_errors PHP setting to Off. ** What’s weird is this setting is already turned off for the server on Siteground. Any help/insight greatly appreciated!
  4. Hi there, having two major issues with updating: in order to update to the newest version of Invision Community, we updated our php for the website to 8.0.30 from 7.4 . We also followed the hosting provider (Siteground)'s instructions to remove the PHP functions that were deemed dangerous. That error message has not gone away despite their confirming we had done it correctly. I am still not able to update to the new version of Invision, and I'm getting this error message: 1C287/2 You are running PHP version 7.3.33. You need PHP 8.0.0 or above. You should contact your hosting provider or system administrator to ask for an upgrade.
  5. Thanks so much @Jim M! I'll make sure i have a full backup from my hosting provider - I think they (Siteground) do full site backups for me so it should work (the community install is in a subfolder), but lmk if there is anything special i need to ask them to do or be sure it's there.
  6. Thanks for the quick reply @Jim M! Yes, of course I know I'd need to get the latest backup from my hosting provider. I'm asking it if can be re-uploaded later to either a fresh install or reinstatement of my license. And how would that work? Would it work even if it's a year or two from now and the Invision version is newer than what I backed up? Also, would you recommend I first update the PHP on my hosting server to current version (8.0 i think is required) before making that backup? I could not find a document giving information aboutr restoring from backups and what I'd need to prepeare first. Thank you.
  7. Hi there, I'm taking a break from actively moderating my Invision community (self-hosted install), and would like to remove it from the hosting server, and pause or cancel my license while I'm away. Can it be re-installed as-is, at a later time, by renewing the license? That is, restored with all the posts, clubs, and my current customizations. If so, what are the steps I'd need to take? Thanks!
  8. Coming to this thread a little late... but just wondering if Sendgrid has worked out for any of you? I want my members to get their forum notifications faster than currently. @Genadii Skaraev @evcom
