I am testing 2.3.0 now for release, that should remove this.
they should be the same version, i might've forgotten to change the version number here on IPS.

I know that there isn’t a rule or something for this but you will REALLY allow @KiwiGym to follow all members in this board? 🤣
It’s been a few days already and it seems not a good idea to let a visitor follow EVERYONE on this board!
It’s obviously he wants to people to know his URL. It’s enough, I guess... 🤦🏻‍♂️
Btw, the topic is because we can’t report profiles! Miss this on IP.Board 3.X!

I think we're quite off topic from your original question, which has been thoroughly answered: There is no mechanism (by design), in 4.5, in which you can extract purchases from Marketplace and then install them elsewhere without using Marketplace. This is not a function of planned obsolescence, but rather an effort to streamline the experience of purchasing and installing addons for those community administrators that cannot or do not wish to manage code, and to make lives easier from a customer support standpoint. Does this tradeoff come with the issues you've mentioned and more? Yes. Is this good for all communities? Absolutely not.
You can tie an internet accessible "test install" license to Marketplace and your production URL to Marketplace and install and upgrade purchases from there, or install things you or others make via the manual upload option.
If being able to download and upload code outside of the Marketplace is important to you, for whatever reason, don't buy things from Marketplace. Write and maintain the code yourself, or work with developers directly and off the Marketplace. Pay attention to license terms. Just because you can technically do something doesn't mean it's okay to do so. Just because you have a copy of software in your possession does not mean you can install it wherever and however often you'd like to. You purchase a license to use the software; you do not own it.
As a matter of best practices, I'd highly discourage running any code that is no longer maintained for security updates. There have been major security issues in every product you've mentioned, and many of them are end of life and no longer being maintained.
    Good luck!

Hey Invision, hope you're having a great December.
    So, I had an idea.
One of my main missions this year was to elevate the culture in my forum and make it a kinder place. I feel like I have achieved success in that regard, however I still see comments that I find pretty questionable despite the warning points system, moderators, rules etc that are in place.
My idea is to develop a Kindness plugin.
There's a lot that can be done, and I'd love to hear your guys' feedback, but the first thing I'd like to have this plugin do is create essentially a little check box that the member must select that essentially says "This comment is kind" before they can successfully hit the reply button.
Yes, they could still write something negative or rude and check the box and post it, but I would like to see how that plays out. I do think psychologically it would be more difficult for people in general to say, "yes this is kind" when they know it isn't.
I thought of starting with simply changing the language of "Submit Reply" to something else, but think that might be a little clunky.
What do you guys think? I'm open to suggestions of course! Thanks =]

    No.
But we are going to add a new feature to the app that you can get jpg and png from images and their hotspots and use them wherever you want.

The embeds ALWAYS open in a new tab/window (no matter if its internal or external):
This is an embed. It will open in a new tab!
However. New Windows is normally a behavior of the browser, not the link or if you're hold "shift" when you click on a link.
Beyond that we would need to see the site. The behavior hasn't changed from my side.

    You can't update reviews?
Unless I'm missing something, I find this a bit disappointing.
Devs like @newbie LAC, @Mike John, @CodingJungle, @Adriano, @onlyME and others work hard on improving their plugin and applications, this can mean reviews quickly become redundant. I see the review as a way to say thank you, I try to review all of the items I enjoy and, that I believe would help other IPS customers in deciding if the purchase is worthwhile for them (as I try to be in-depth about my own usage).
Can IPS please consider allowing us to update our reviews?
I think sometimes it would help to make things clearer, as I have seen extremely harsh reviews and ratings requesting everything under the sun.
That stays there as things stand, which seems a little one sided.
Would every disgruntled buyer update their review? Probably not, but it could give developers a chance see their work more fairly accessed.
In my case, I could speak more about the newer features, how often updates and bug fixes are released - which goes along way towards trusting people. As some just don't bother, or are busier with things that they feel deserves their focus, which is fair enough but if something changes for the better or worst, I would like to address it in my review.
That said, I don't leave harsh or overly critical reviews.
It's more me vouching that whatever the product is, is well worth your investment and time in using for your community.
    Please consider this... @Matt @Charles @Lindy
