These are the ones I meant, try to rebuild them and investigate how they work. Then think of a SIMPLE project you would like to realize with Pages. Some kind of directory or whatever and just go for it.
If you need help, search the forums, ask questions and also take a look at sites like W3Schools, or simply Google it. The basics of HTML, CSS and so on, probably no one will explain here, because that would go beyond the scope.

One thing that jumps out is that your choice of music hasn't improved with the new version. 

As you may know, Invision Community 5 is currently in development, and progress has been great, with many areas starting to come together.
Almost all of the significant code restructuring has been completed, with much progress on the UI and the new theme bearing fruit. A fair few new features are complete, but some aren't quite ready to show, as they need a little love from Ehren.

The features and functionality shown here aren't all that has been completed; many new features are 'code-complete' but waiting for some UI polish before we're ready to share more. This is the advantage of implementing something like this with pages and not with an application.

I would encourage you to actually investigate Community Hive for yourself.  
If you did, you would discover Community Hive would be the worst advertising platform ever 😄.  It's entire goal is to push visitors to other sites (your community) as quickly as possible. The entire point is to not keep users on the site.  

What exactly didn't work? The tutorial is three years old but everything should still be the same.
When I find some time I can take a closer look or create a sample database to import and attach it here.

The X logo is a unicode symbol so you can use 𝕏 or add icon as SVG

The current IPS version supports only Font Awesome 4.7, in which the new X logo does not exist.
You would have to upgrade to the latest Font Awesome (either via plugin or manually) and then you can add the social button yourself.

I think this is the best decision IPS has made in years. The only thing customers will lose is some comfort, but the bottom line is that it is the best for all. 
What you are suggesting is that developers have to release 2 versions. Means a lot more work and then have to pay to release a free version. Why should someone do that?
I promise you nothing will be lost, there will be even more. More applications, more translations... more freedom. Not on this website, just on another one.

Maybe in IC5 but not yet. The latest version plugin for 4.6/4.7 is availiable here.

I really like the Idea, but how about the languages? Is it for english communities only, will there be a filter if you only want to see content in your native language?

I do. And this occurred to me. But the number of posts does not appear to match. And since clubs have their own area in stats, it seemed unlikely anyway.
I wasn't sure if you were speculating or informing me about this - so I changed topics to threads to test this. Yes, you are correct - that's the answer! But it does not make sense to me since clubs have their own stats.

We have a bunch of forums listed in our link directory, but I'm not posting a link because it's a different forum software. Similar to WP VORT3X's link directory, but not as many. 😄
