  1. When receiving a personal message in an ongoing message [more than one page] clicking the notification takes me to the first page of the multi page messages rather than either the message received or the last message. Is there anyway to take the person to the message received or last page of the message in a multi page message?

@TAMAN the issue has been solved.  I went on another laptop of mine and used another browser, just to make sure it wasn't me.  When I went do paste in the code in Custom.css  it saved successfully.   The issue was me or the browser. It's solved!

Just out curiosity which browser were you using? Might be helpful to know!

Well the GDPR is enforced by the government (let's be real... you really think they are going to go after some small community? lmao) however, CCPA is enforced by the public. Meaning california residents can sue the "company"...  Great video on CCPA which literally explains everything below

Time to block CA residents. Nothing new as CA wants to block air travel to states it doesn't agree with. Namely, states which are outlawing abortion.

I've been following CA internet laws for some time. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Recently CA sued a popular Christian dating site because it only served two biological genders. Likewise, in my niche we have men and women bible studies. CA residents aren't worth serving in my opinion, after all the representatives they elect are making these policies.

Shame companies subject themselves to CA internet laws by locating themselves in that communist state.

  4. Before I purchase this I need a special application filled. I need an invitation system where one paying subscription or group can invite non subscription or others from a different group to join their group through paid for subscription. Basically, members need to be able to invite other members into a specific group with purchase option.

Does this invitation have this and if not will you consider implementing it?

    Thanks,
    William

Regardless, it's frustrating that the world is coming to a point where folks need to consult an attorney just to operate a basic web forum.

I intentionally moved our server from out of CA after reading of a new internet bill which holds a server located in CA subject to penalty of law any information located on the server which IMO goes against the Liberal/Dem narrative. Religious groups for example are coming under fire. Basically anybody can put their face to an article and claim damages.

I just thought it would be safer to remove our site from CA. I wouldn't doubt if organizations try to enforce the GDPR in America. That is, foreign laws on U.S. soil.

My guess would be perhaps a videos folder exists on your root folder of IPS installation? If so delete it.

Thanks, renaming the folder worked. Odd thing is that the folder has existed for some time and wasn't a problem up until a recent Cpanel/WHM update.

    Hi,

We have a big problem and don't know how to get out of it.

We added some code that's supposed to show a responsive youtube video into a custom widget

However it has messed up our site design but also stopped the edit page option with block manager so we cannot delete the widget

The only way we can get the site to display correctly is to disable the Advanced Custom Widgets widget - but then we cannot delete the widget on the page because the plugin is disabled.

    Can you help us?

Can't you just delete the plugin then reinstall the plugin to blank the widget? That is, if this is the only widget you're using.

you could use this and it will add a new nav tab along with all members etc and they can toggle the members via usergroups or manually search for a member 😀

    I already have member's pages.

Here's a better screen shot. I need a direct url to this page. The member search in advanced search:

As is now one must click advanced search, then they are taken to content search, then they must hit the member search tab. I'd like a direct link to the member search to search through profile fields.

  9. When selecting "search" from the IPS menu I'm taken to "Content Search". I'd like to create a menu option for members to select so that they are taken directly to the Member search instead. Here's a screen shot of the default search page. The member search tab is there. Is there a direct link that I can create a menu option to take members directly to member search?

I did think of that so will look into it soon enough lol, I started off making a plugin then after a while of writing it I saw potential for future updates so changed it to a app to give me maximum availability on what it can do, I am also thinking of members creating playlists etc and the ability to add other peoples songs to their playlists as long as the said member allows sharing of their tracks ( this won't duplicate the file it will just add it to the playlist, if x member deletes it, it will be removed from all playlists )

Just a thought. If a static player was added to header so that it would play non stop while navigating throughout a site when visiting a particular profile after already playing songs from a previous profile the newly landed page would load a playlist into the media player to play after the current profile is done.

I hate it when people have ideas and no way of knowing how to make them into reality so I'm reluctantly conveying this to you. But when working with developers I find explaining ideas as coherently has possible helps them to make it into a reality.

the songs use the original files name so it should get called what the file is xyz.mp3 etc, if you click the little toggle you can click and hold the title of the track and it will allow you to edit the name of it, it all works with ajax and js etc so the page won't refresh etc it will just update automatically

After upload a numeric value is added to the beginning of the file name. For example, Creed-Torn is made into 15445453453_Creed-Torn.mp3. The file after uploaded can though be edited. Just bringing to your attention that a numeric value is added to the file name after upload.

I like your product Jackal. Any plans to make the media player pop-up from the page so the song is not interrupted when navigating away? Ya know one of the best players I ever ran into was at the header of a page that remained static or absolute as I navigated the whole site. That way music was able to play non stop while navigating the site.

You do great work Jackal. Much thanks for a product that I think may add some personalization to people's profiles.

So is it fixed now? was that the issue?

Indeed, that was the issue. The pages theme was set on a theme other than the "default theme". Now the front page changes with the theme selection made in the footer.

    Many thanks TAMAN!

Sorry but I dont understand  😕

If your website frontpage is made by Pages application and it doesnt use the theme you have selected in bottom of your site, then go to the ACP > Pages > Pages > Edit your frontpage

    and select the "default theme"
