Hi there Been hung up with work lately, so havent had a chance to follow up, but thanks a LOT for this solution regarding installing a new forum etc. I will have a few aganda-less evenings next week and will try to follow Miss Bs steps. It sounds like a plausable solution. I'll let you know how it goes and hopefully makt the post as "Solution"

Hi and thanks for info The smf forum i want to move and merge is located on another server and another domain. I did an "Export" yesterday tat gave me a .sql file of the external database. I then made a new database and imported the .sql to the new server, but as the name of the database was different and I was not allowed to rename it after import, I did not get access to it. It's kinda hard to describe and cudos to those who can follow my explanation :D I will try to get my host/provider to rename the database to the original name to see if I can get the converter to access it now that it is in fact stored on the same server as the IPS-forum resides on.

Hi folks I still have a smf forum on another url (url X) that we now want to add to an existing IPS-forum (on url Z). When trying to convert this forum from external url, I cannot get it to accept the data provided: The details provided are not correct or the database is unavailable. So how to do this operation.... Can I backup my urlX database and build/add new database on urlZ, THEN convert and add threads to my existing forum?

Hi and thanks for answering my Q. The recount did the trick regarding posts, but reg date is still 2012. Im about to merge a few more and will make sure I keep the old account so my veterans keep their vet status 🙂 -
I merged a user that had his original account registered in 2001. The newest account registered in 2012, but somehow even I wanted to keep the old account, it now state he registered in 2012 and have only posts linked to him posted after 2012. This is one of the oldest active member we have, and it's a pitty he lost his older records. Is there any way to edit his register date and get his 300+ older posts linked to his active account?

I merged a members new to his old forgotten account today. I accedentally merged "the wron way" so his date of reg is now set to jan. 8. 2021 but he really had his account from 1999. This is one of the veterans and I really want to set his date correct. Is there a way to undo or reverse my merge or set his reg date manually?

Could I have found the begining of time? The days in that last pic add up to 25.252.216.391.115.060 years. Thats 25 quadrillion years! Page loads kinda slow, but no wonder why

Im getting strangely high numbers of days when showing unread posts. Any idea wich setting to adjust?

The IPS support team fixed the problem. I do not know what they did, but we are very happy with the result and great and swift effort to get it solved. thanks!

Hi there When user X send a PM to User Y, some random PM from person Z show up in the PM-thread. Last message from user was a conversation from 2009 showing up when sending PM. Best solution for me is to delete all PMs from pre 2014.

Our forum is from 1998 and have been converted from original UBBThreds(1998-) to SMF(2012-) and then to IPS (2018-). When our members write a PM almost every time they also get a message from before 2012 in the conversation. My best guess is that there are some tags that is beeing mixed up and since we have converted several times, the error could be old. Is there a way to delete PMs from before 2013? Just cutting the line to the old forums PM-data?

Thanks Runar. I could try your translation and will PM you. I tried to disable english from yeaterday morneing, and since then all post show time for post creation. The thing is that it seems random wich post have this "stamp". Even same creators have and have not stamps on different posts, me included, even written on the same unit. Investegating my own writing, the only difference from post to post would be my IP.

Hi there I've tried to find a setting and searched for a answer why some of the posts in the forum do not have a time stamp. Most users post have a "created by xxx 09:37", but many posts do not have this stamp. Does anyone have a solution and can enlighten me about why this happen?

Posting a twitc url in here seems to work, but i get error in my own forum. Is there something i need to configure to be able to show streeams?

I also have problems with linking from GPhoto. The links are rejected. Would make a great feature. I had to buy more server storage as 30GB wasnt enogh any more, mostly due to many pictures
