You know, if you ever visited my website, you'd probably remark how boring it is.  I have some forums.  I have some galleries.  I have some clubs.  I went fancy and added my own logo! It's the same technology, platform, and tools as every other IPS client.
But I think the real magic is hidden beneath the surface in the everyday forum posts, about activating members, engaging with them through thoughtful conversation, creating emotive experiences, and building shared experiences.  These are things that any IPS client can do with the tools that are provided, and where I think a good community manager shines.  You take the platform, and build a community by people for people on top of the platform.  At the end if the day, the platform can't a surrogate for the hard, complex, and dynamic work of community engagement.  (But this also isn't a vacation slip to IPS devs though 😉).

Keep saying I am going to rewatch this and never get around to it. Maybe on Monday I will 😄

Classic favourite is Yankee Doodle Dandy featuring James Cagney - I love all Cagney movies but this one is a stand out for me.
Anything in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy vein after that as long as it is well acted and well produced; such as The Matrix series, Judge Dredd (the Karl Urban version), most of the Star Trek Movies, same with Star Wars and Stargate.
Currently, most of the Marvel and DC iterations of the various characters - most recently I thoroughly enjoyed Wonder Woman and Avengers Infinity Wars Pt 1.
I never get to the cinema these days so everything is either streamed or on DVD that I watch.
Always a good question to ask 👍

I've had 2+ screens for over 6 years. 3 screens is amazing. With the curved monitors and all I'm basically surrounded by monitors. It makes my life easier for at a glance views and whatnot. I actually don't use my multiple screens for gaming. Only work and hobby's.

@We are Borg Since users can control their privacy through Google (through Google's personal privacy policy) as long as you make users aware that you are using google services and what you are tracking that is an unnecessary step. This is actually already a mandatory part of using things like Google Analytics and their ad service anyways.

I got involved with forums soon after I got married (in 2003). My husband had a job with extremely late hours, we had no kids yet, and I was home from my own job by 6:00 and very, VERY bored. My husband is an avid fan of the New York Yankees, and really wanted me to join him at the games, so I started to learn a little more about baseball. I wanted to sound halfway intelligent, so I began spending time on the YES Network forums to see what other fans were saying. (Solid choice, Esther, hang around with crazy trolls. Excellent decision-making skills.)
After a couple of months there, one of the more active members decided he was fed up with the sheer number of trolls and total lack of moderation - there was 1 moderator for nearly 1 million members. This guy was asking around to see if anyone could help him get the site up and running. As I mentioned, I was VERY bored, so I figured I'd do it.
The site was running IPB 2.2, and I started poking around and learning how to customize things. Taught myself PHP by implementing the modifications, then started making my own.
Our site ran for nearly 5 years (and was really popular) before we had to shut it down simply because we had no time to run it. By then I was distributing my own minor modifications and doing really small custom pieces.
In 2010, I quit my job to go out on my own and do this full time. I love this job. I love that my customers never ever want the same things twice, I love that nearly anything is possible with IPS. I'm really enjoying watching the framework "grow up", so to speak.

And... here I am with 2. But! I also have a drum set, an alto saxophone and a Bb clarinet. Maybe I should have contributed to this article.

I had guinea pigs for a while many moons ago. They kept multiplying though (literally - we'd wake up one day and 3 more would be in the crate).

Ok...not sure if this qualifies, but - I used to be an amazing air drummer.
Seriously.  I was the only one of my friends who could successfully do Rush's "Subdivisions" (foot pedals and all), "Freewill" and "La Villa Strangiato" off Exit...Stage Left, and "Tom Sawyer" - the original.
Now I do voices (some argue that I also hear them - I'd disagree, but no one can hear me with all the ruckus).  Specifically, I do something like Abe Simpson crossed with Charles Manson.  That, coupled with my honed sense of near-absolute political incorrectness, virtually guarantees that if the "right person" hears me, that I'll be 1) a radio/TV sensation, or 2) in jail within the next year.
For some of the things I say with this voice I've been told I'll go to Hell when I die, but I figure hey - Hell is where all the great musicians are, so time to rock out!
I would also like to ask a question:
Is it possible to state for the record that Jennifer is incredibly beautiful while completely respecting her talents, intellect, and individuality in this age of cultural hysteria, hashtag populism and the heightened awareness of sexual inequality?
If so, then I just said that.
If not, then forget I said anything I guess.

I've heard someone say it, verbally, before and when quizzed I pretty much discovered that they just didn't like Heavy Metal at all.
I'm a total metalhead (<insert wild stallyns image>) so always curious when comments like the above come in
