Perhaps, instead of closing the marketplace within Invision Community, it might be worthwhile to focus on a development strategy that attracts a larger user base and encourages them to purchase solutions offered by Invision Community. The current direction of the company's actions seems quite misguided and could potentially lead to a decline in the popularity of the forum platform.
It's worth carefully analyzing what is lacking in Invision Community compared to competitive solutions. For instance, if there is a successful marketplace, it would be worth considering the introduction of free tools or creating an alternative to the WordPress platform and Elementor tool. Such a step would attract new users, ultimately resulting in a higher number of purchases, such as for the forum platform.
The emphasis should be on continuous development and avoiding regression, as well as the closure of crucial elements like the marketplace. It's also important not to exploit the financial resources of existing users, but instead, focus on exploring new avenues for growth.
Engaging the user community to express their opinions and ideas about the platform's development is valuable. Forum platforms possess tremendous potential, yet it's crucial to find ways to revitalize their activity and attract new users, rather than eliminating them.
To sum up, the Invision Community platform can gain a lot by concentrating on development, innovation, and responsiveness to user needs, rather than limiting itself or shutting down essential features.

Subscription gifts to other users would be absolutely phenomenal and help communities thrive.
Live streaming platforms are living proof of this. Top financial supporters are currently held back by this!
It totally makes sense that not everything can make it in, but the lack of open ended monetization is truly painful.

Products and subscriptions should be purchasable as a gift to other members. Example 1: I want to gift 5 subscriptions to different random community members. Example 2: I want to gift a shirt purchase to one specific community member Subscriptions should have options for renewal periods that the customer can pick, along with optional discounts that admins can set. Example 1: The default subscription state is $5/month, but I'd rather pay the whole yearly fee at once, at $60. Example 2: As an admin I want to give a discount for people in Example 1, so that they are only charged $50/year. By searching the forums, it's easy enough to come across similar requests.
Especially as someone that hosts a live stream oriented community, gift-based revenue is one of our major driving forces, but this isn't a thing on our website.

We do have plans to improve Clubs in the future, but there isn't an update I can provide you at the moment.
This may well be a generic answer, but as much as we want to improve our products, we also don't want to disappoint by providing unrealistic timeframes and expectations. Our attention is currently focused on the revamp of Gallery, with plans on improving other products including Commerce and Pages as explained in our December 2022 Chat and Invision Insight below.

Bulk emails are a fantastic feature that allows you to communicate news and other important stuff to your community - allowing you to target specific subsets of folk too.
The addition of scheduled topics is fantastic, but this function doesn't yet exist for bulk emails. Is this something that the team is already considering?
It would be super practical if I could write something up in the evening and send it out at peak hours next day without having to log in, paste the content, and click the button myself at the right time.

This was the fix after all, however, the tasks only went stable after we applied PHP 8.1. 8.0 didn't seem to do the trick.

Thanks for checking. The cron is something we just set up today in order to try and get around the issue of tasks getting locked. I can confirm though that it is running PHP 8.
Right now there are 6 tasks that are locked/stuck. Manually restarting them does work, but they will get stuck again - at least so far this is what I've found today.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.

While one can mod these in, I 100% agree it needs to be officially supported. No Tiktok, no Discord, no Twitch.
It's 2022, this should be a top priority now.
