Yes, it's actually done in my development version. I've added pictures anywhere they appear - pages records, blog entries, downloads files. I just have a few other items in progress that aren't complete yet (specifically Club Newsletters). The Club Newsletters are taking longer than I expected. I really want this done this coming week.

They can not earn points if thet are not active, you set the points to be awarded if they have either logged in / posted content in the time frame of the award tasks
I can look into all the secondary groups for probably 1.1.3, 1.1.2 is nearly done with gallery features ( big thanks to @Joel R for supporting the gallery app ) done and the ability for me to create some great add-ons and extenstions
I will more than likely craeate a widget ( something like the downloads featured one ) where you can feature items and they will show there, of course it will be global
the application is wrote without decimals so I would need to rewrite lots to have that function which will not be something I am looking to do for a while ( don't mean it won't happen though )
 
I am starting making extenstions for this app as well as add-ons, So far I have made a clubs add-on where you can allow members to charge points to join their clubs, you can charge members for creating modules in the clubs, example if they want to add a forums topic section to the club it will cost xxx points, you can charge members to create a club, and it will also add a feature my club item to the shop.
Another add-on I am working on is actually really good lol, you will create a event, Say 10 posts in a hour, now you will set the reward, either points or a shop item, you set the event to run every hour, and each hour it will check if any member has posted 10 posts or what ever option is selected for that application ( events can be set to run each hour, every 3 hours, every 6 hours, every 12 hours, once a day, once a week or once a month so you can make some really good events ), it will award them either the points you set or the item you set and send them a notification saying they got x from y event, it will support the forums, downloads, gallery, calendar and of course members shop ( more applications will come )

Suggestion For Future Update:
Move the actual program from 'Community' (Eg. 1)

to a choice under 'Members' (eg. 2, exampled by 'red line'), since it is a member related program and directly impacts the member accounts.

It's really a cosmetic change, but one I feel should be implemented. @Adriano Faria

"Advertisers Appreciation Day" -- On the first day of every month, the community holds an Advertiser Appreciation Day to thank them for their support.  Advertisers group gain +16 points. To those of you who are anxiously awaiting the update: unfortunately I need to postpone this another week. Too many client emergencies this week, and I didn't get as far along as I would have liked. I apologize for the delay (I hate missing deadlines after I give a definite date.)

Not in the way where it is a members shop you can buy with points no. You could offer points when they buy the feature my club package via commerce though

No. Newsletter content is generated once and only once, at the start of distribution. All recipients get identical content. If I changed this logic, it would eliminate the ability to do bulk mail, which means I'd have to send the newsletter one email at a time. That would be a disaster.
Club content is not yet supported, but it is in progress. That being said, users will never receive newsletters from "just the clubs they are in" for the same reason as the "unread" question. I am working on allowing Club owners to create their own newsletters, so each club would have its own newsletter that could be sent out. There are no plans for a combined club newsletter.

A new version has been uploaded to the Marketplace. Changes include:
Gallery images were not rendering correctly. Fixed. Newsletter content titles were displaying even if there was no content. Fixed. Hard-coded date formats have been replaced with the topic title date format specified in the newsletter settings. Unsubscribe in the topic view now links to the newsletter settings. "Default Groups" property can now be set to "none", creating an opt-in only newsletter. New newsletter index page at /newsletters, which lists all current newsletters and user's subscription status. User's subscription status is displayed when viewing the newsletter in web view. User can also subscribe/unsubscribe directly from that page.

Nice!  Will the separate app be able to work both ways with full integration, for instance will there be a way to have messages posted by users on discord in certain channels be posted to certain topics / forums on the forums and likewise be able to be setup where replies and topics and such on the forums get posted to the correct discord channels?

Neither. There's no light / full version of this app.
The actions are going to be handled by a separate app.
This one is only the login handler.
