Just a quick question, if I've changed the language on my board (Through the Admin area) so that "clubs" is now "clans" and the URL is /clans/, this won't break this application/plugin will it? About to purchase but wanted to check first.

As far as I know you won't be able to change the /clubs/ to anything else. I don't know why but it won't allow me to do. Am I wrong? Was this a problem which is now fixed or was I doing something wrong? On another note: a lot of other applications use the word "Clubs", so just make sure that when you install a new application you go back to the language and update those apps to use clans.

what do you mean? do you mean can users sell media?

Yes. Let's say I have created a PDF ebook or taken a lovely picture. I want to add it to my media uploader and then I want to say this file is worth $0.99. Then when I embed that file into a post the user viewing will see a message saying "To view this file buy now for $0.99.". If the person purchases it, they can then see the file that was embedded forever and/or download that file.

  3. Will the new version tie in with the built-in files application where you can charge for files? So, if the user embeds one of their files that has a price associated with it it will just show something like "$0.99 to access view/download this content".

    So more discovery...

When viewing CSS on the borked version almost all the values for hex colors are a hash character (#). Additionally there's other code in there seems to relate to that special character:

    box-shadow:0 1px 1px htmlspecialchars( '#', ENT_QUOTES | ENT_DISALLOWED, 'UTF-8', FALSE ), 0px 1px 5px htmlspecialchars( '#', ENT_QUOTES | ENT_DISALLOWED, 'UTF-8', FALSE ) inset ;

I'm guessing that the last color tweak I did, I must of hit the hash instead of the number "3" and it triggered a flaw of some sort that made me lost all of it.

I have a ticket open with IPS support but think I just uncovered a major flaw with their editor.

I have never run into that issue before. Can you reproduce it? I have been trying and am not getting that effect.

Could we get the ability to add feeds (add a feeds tab) to the block feeds category selection?

I know I'm missing something obvious here  but could you clarify this? Aren't you showing the video feed support now?

Edit: Do you mean the new rss import feed?

Sorry, I should have clarified. If I create a block (under Pages -> Blocks -> Create New Block -> Videos Feed -> Feed Configuration -> Select Category To Use) I don't have the option of choosing a created feed from the category selection. Or at least I can't choose one that is assigned to a club.

    *Begs for help! ?

I've installed the app, created the new method, added the Client ID and secret (i.e. set up my app on Discord) - that's as far as I've gotten. I've been reading all of the information here and must confess, I am lost. Can anyone help - give me step-by-step instructions or direct me to documentation that does (something that is more non-tech friendly)? Once I get through it once. I'll be good to go.

    I apologize for the problems!

Thank you all so much! I cannot wait to get the app operational.

I am uploading a tutorial video to youtube right now and will share it on here as soon as it is up.

A very cool plugin. Love it so far. One suggestion, it would be great if there would be an option for the members to disable the ticker. For example an option in the account settings "show ticker?" yes/no

This would make the app perfect (for me)

Or, a little (X) they could click which would disable it for x amount of hours/days

  8. I am excited for the new release of Newsletters.

Maybe a button that would allow people to submit their custom templates "Share your template with the community" from within the app would help make this possible? Those shared templates would then appear in a drop-down menu when selecting templates (or maybe a new drop-down next to select template that says "select shared templates".

A select box could be used for listing the options they can vote on. It won't support the maximum options restriction or user supplied input however. I don't believe the select field itself in IPB4 has a "maximum" option to begin with. The "user supplied input" is built into IPB4 and is relatively easy for me to add into my app.

There isn't a fixed limit on the number of messages that can be submitted but in theory the "Submit wait time" filled could be excessively high so that a user can't submit another "vote". If that makes sense?

I've sent you a PM with the demo board as well so you can see how far the current settings will get you. Simple short comings I can list for the next bug fixing update (possibly with patches in the meantime) and more complex changes for future feature updates.

Thank you for the demo. Forms is a great application for many uses. I use it and love it. I just can't use it for what I am trying, and I am okay with that.

I think what I need is a plugin for the built in polls to make it more robust or an entire polls application.

No worries, and thanks again Mike.

  10. I would like to use this application for a survey that works like this:

The members get to vote on a selection of options (like a poll). They can vote on multiple options (5 maximum if possible). They can also input a new option that will get added to the list and have 1 vote (and then others can vote on that one as well).

    Is something like this possible?

All noted. I actually played around with Youtube tag imports in another app so that might even be able to be included in a bug fixing update. If you don't mind doing a bit of testing, I might have some code you can play around with. (But need a few days before I can get to it.)

I would happily test this for you.

The videoThumbRow template bit from videos > front > browse. Let me know if you have any suggestions to improve this.

I think it would be best if admin could toggle those on/off. It would be nice to have a general setting for all videos as well as the ability to turn them off at the category and/or feed lvls.

That would be the best approach.

    It worked like a charm.

Right now you do have the ability to customize the newsletter templates, as well as the individual block templates. That should be more than enough to give you any layout you want.

The problem I have (and that I think a lot of people have) is that we don't know how to customize templates and don't know how to code other than making some small changes to things like color codes.

I think it would be great if there were more templates to choose from that were pre-made or if others (who know how to build templates) would share the templates they have created.

Also, I cannot figure out how to hide the block titles if nothing is new to show.

I suppose what I am asking for an additional feature to be added to Newsletters that inside every content item that is added there be an option to hide if there is no nothing to show within the selected time cutoff period.

Would anybody be will to share their customized templates so that we can try them out and see if they will work for us?
