What do you mean by lock setting? The first option which says close/prune old topics is enabled. Sorry if I am confusing.

Are the old topics still not locked? They are not closed immediately after you enable the settings as the plugin adds a task that runs daily.

Thank you for verifying my issue.

What issues are you having with my plugin? The one that I quoted below?

On 9/16/2018 at 12:36 AM, Christforums said:

Seems this plugin doesn't work with the OP. I was able to create a thread with just one character when the minimum words were set at 10. However, the warning does show up in responses which require 10 words in "responses" to the OP.

Recommendation: It would be also nice if one could set a global forum requirement instead of having to set each forum and sub forum independently. This was excruciating on a forum with lots of forums and sub-forums.

It is stated clearly at the overview/description, that the plugin works with posts only and not for topics. So your issue is non existant.

True, we can't provide access to our forum or ftp, and that's on us; our problem.

But every other support requested in private form have always the same response: extra payment or others. We already (and rightly) spent money for the plugin, and even an extra for adding the limit to Topics too (first post).

We asked the creator support the first time: he said that may one of the plugins that we have installed may interfere and causing conflicts. For that, he would have to recode a good portion of the plugin and that would take some time and it falls under extras. But he wanted to charge not money for it, but 15 posts/topics at his forum (?). We obviusly rejected.

Then we asked a TeamViewer session to find this problem on ftp: he rejected.

At the end, on the third request for support, Faqole says that he can try to istall the complete list of plugins and apps that we have at his test forum and work there. But this will cost another extra, 25 euro. We rejected.

    End of story.

The issues that you are claiming to have can not be reproduced by me. I gave you access to my forum as well where you checked it out and admited that it worked fine.

The plugins are developed to work on a vanilla version of the forum and not to be compatible with any plugins that you have installed. You have quite a lot of plugins installed, some of them downloaded from warez sites. One of them might cause a conflict, and all they had to be checked to see if it interefers with my plugin, and all that cost time. I asked you for access to your forum to check the issue there, you refused. I asked you to send me all custom plugins/apps that you have installed so I could install them at my test forum and see if I could fine which one causes the conflict. And of course I charge extra for this as it takes quite some time. You refused again. That is fine, but unless I develop psychic powers or consult the magic 8 ball, there is nothing that I can do.

    Sorry, that's not correct:)

We check in accordance with our guidelines, but it is not certifying that the resource is bug free. We ensure that it won't break anything in the core, we ensure that it moves uploaded files if the file storage changes, we ensure that it follows the rules from our guides like that you have to call the parent method and such stuff, but it's not our responsibility to test the functionality of MP submissions. We stopped this a while ago because some people abused the MP and the MP moderators as their free testers.

I did not claim that it was bug free, only that it has been tested/checked by you guys. And I am sure that you would not leave items in MP if they did not work or broke the forum in some way or other.

So this does not work and he doesn't offer support? 😐

I was interested in purchasing this but if there is no support and it doesn't work then it's kinda pointless. I just need the minimum char count to work. Can anyone confirm that's working?

    Hello,

The plugin works fine. It has been tested by the MP moderators before being approved.

And I do provide support, but the user in question does not give me access to his forum and without access there is not much that I can do.

Nevermind, I think I would take this if you made the first change. I can pass on the custom time frames per forum.  Thank you

Also needs to be HIDE not delete.

    Thank you 🙂

Let me know when you purchase the plugin and I will make the edit to include the topic start date instead of the last post and pm it to you.

You can hide them as well. Simply enable the Hide Topics setting.

This might not do exactly what I need.

I need to set posts in specific forums to hide after a specific number of days from the ORIGINAL post (as opposed to the last reply).

Less important but would be nice to have is number of days per forum instead of 1 setting for all. Then I can have one forum that hides posts after 3 days and another that hides posts after 30 days.  Then I can sell access to these forums based on tiers.

     Thank you

I can change the criteria from the last reply time to topic start date at my add on. It is a very small edit.

Regarding adding the the number of days to the individual forums, I can add that too for a small fee.

I am shocked that there is still not per forum auto prune feature.

I have a couple of specific forums that I want to auto prune after topics are 30 days old.

I have released a plugin that will do that. You can see it here

  9. 2 new options added.

    • Anytime an user clicks on the affiliate image and/or title, it will be recorded. Depending on their permissions users now will be able to see who clicked their affiliates.
    • Affiliates can be moderated for groups before they are displayed. Users with the appropriate permissions can review the moderated affiliates in the ModCp.

Is that suitable to IPB 4.2.7?

Sorry for the late reply sir, but I just read your post. To answer your question, yes, it is compatible with that version as well.

Where do I find the Member ID?

You can find the member id on their profiles. It is that numeric part you see in the url. For example if you go to my profile you see this:

    https://invisioncommunity.com/profile/571929-faqole/

571929 is my id in this forum.

    Registered members only.

What would be AMAZING, is if the option for "members who are following me only" provided a button on the hidden profile for members to still be able to follow. Allowing folks to use profile visibility as bait for more followers.  Which is how everyone thinks this works (and how it should work in my opinion)

However, as mentioned above, if that is off the table I will take "registered members only"

I have pm'ed you a new plugin file and the sql query that will take care of both things that you requested.

  12. 20 minutes ago, SJ77 said:

I would LOVE that! Can we also include some SQL to undo it in the database and reset all the folks already using that option?

Yes, we can. To what new option would you like for those users using the followers option to have?
