Runar got a reaction from SeNioR- in Privacy Policy question
No, you’ll be given the choice to make everyone accept the new policy or not, so you can easily just fix the spelling mistake. This also applies to the guidelines.

Ah, my apologies. I had got that mixed with the other issue he found for you while looking. Hope you get to the bottom of the issues 🙂

Yes, it will! I'm working on updating the plugin as we speak.
For the record: 4.5 will introduce a new Mark as solved-feature, but this feature will only let you mark topics as "solved". If you want to mark them as anything else, or for instance change the style of the markers, you'll still need to use a plugin like mine.

Runar got a reaction from crmarks in Mark Topic
This plugin makes it easy and fast to add a marker (badge) to a topic, by placing a button next to the «Reply to this topic»-button. The marker visually stands out, both when viewing the topic and when viewing the forums.
It's similar to using tags, but with tags you and your members will have to edit the topic and manually add the tag. Also, unless I’m mistaken, there is no way to restrict a tag to specific forums or members. This plugin is kind of a combination of tags, prefixes, and saved actions (multimoderation), and you can allow everyone to use the markers, not only admins and moderators.
Here are a few pictures showing the visual differences between markers, tags, and prefixes.

Runar got a reaction from crmarks in Customize New Member Badge
What’s new in version 1.1.0:
Version 1.1.0 is now available on the Marketplace, with support for 4.6! A welcoming new feature is that you can now choose where the new member badge will be positioned. You can choose from six different positions: top left, center, or right, and the same on the bottom, with the default position being top right. This version also includes a tiny bug fix.
New features
Choose the position of the new member badge. Fixes
Fixed issue that could show the new member badge even if disabled. -
Runar reacted to Ehren in How can make download file to a link
Hi @bing11
This setting is actually tucked away slightly.
Visit the "Groups" page in your admin cpanel (admin/?app=core&module=members&controller=groups) and click the Edit (pencil) icon. Under the Downloads tab, you'll see an option named "Can submit URLs?"
Enable that for your group(s) and you're done!

No need - I'm adding the extra UL, it's working as I intend it to work. The issue is that there are other things in that area (your application) that are affected by that.
As I said...don't worry, leave it with me...I'll just not use it.

I know you don’t count votes, I just wanted to do what I can do bring attention to this issue, and hope for a fix in the near future.

Runar got a reaction from Edjazoli in Mark Topic
I use the following selector (and the add_inside_start type) to target the <ul> element containing the topic action buttons:
elClubContainer > div.ipsClearfix > ul.ipsToolList.ipsToolList_horizontal.ipsClearfix.ipsSpacer_both The issue in this case is that when a topic is closed, there are suddenly two <ul> lists. I don’t know if this is caused by your application or not, but it’s not normal behavior. Again, this only happens in closed topics.
It's been an application since version 2.0.0.

I'll do some testing my side to see - I added something in the last version that may be influencing this.

Any chance you could add a key to this translation "unmark as %s" as you have with "marks as %s"
As well I've got two "unmark" for rest of the members after choosing " Allow anyone to unmark the topic?↩️

Runar reacted to Randy Calvert in Is there a way to recognize gallery or blog content?
Within forums, a moderator can reward a person for their post contributions with a badge and/or points. Is there a way to do something similar for gallery or blog contributions? I can't seem to find it if there is.
If it's not possible, could this topic be moved to the Feature Suggestion forum for future consideration?
Thanks!

Runar got a reaction from Mote Marketing, Inc. in IPS Products are awesome, but your support BLOWS.
I also wish for this. It applies to the developer documentation as well, where some articles tell you to do things in ways that will make absolutely sure your resource doesn't get approved to the Marketplace. It's frustrating to the point where I'd rather read the source code directly than try to make sense of the documentation, which in my humble opinion is not a good sign.
I understand and respect that keeping help guides and developer documentation up-to-date is a time-consuming task, but outdated and sometimes wrong documentation is worse than no documentation.

This help guide takes you through the steps for purchasing and adding new (official) applications to your community:
In the "Adding a newly purchased application" section you'll find information about how to download and install the new application.

Runar reacted to Marc Stridgen in Resetting UserIDs
Im not sure what gives you that impression there. There is no way in which to fix this issue. You are trying to fix something that isn't something that is broken. If you deleted members, it will not change other peoples IDs to ensure every ID is populated as you are suggesting. You stated also that you changed some of the tables, but there are a lot of tables. If you do that, you will very likely break your site. If you feel I havent answered a specific item there, you would need to clarify

Runar got a reaction from SeNioR- in Your new monkeypatch stuff in 4.6.10
I’ve identified the following application as the cause of my issues:
This application hooks into \IPS\Dispatcher, which as mentioned by @All Astronauts above is problematic.

Runar reacted to Stuart Silvester in Your new monkeypatch stuff in 4.6.10
Great, thank you for looking. We came to the same conclusion that it's specific hooks. We'll make some changes.

Runar reacted to All Astronauts in Your new monkeypatch stuff in 4.6.10
Did some more digging and caught it. Old application (private), probably from the 4.3 days. The hook that was crashing it was on \IPS\Dispatcher, not \IPS\Dispatcher\Front or \IPS\Dispatcher\Admin. The problem was the hook being on that and not on Front or Admin instead.
