    Seriously. Feels good seeing that giant ad on tablets for some reason.

    Did you notice any income difference after removing that CSS?

    Wow, this has been driving me nuts for months, never stopped to think Adsense css would have been hidden elsewhere, tried everything to get the square ads back on mobile

    Yes. That's what happens.
    This is quite disappointing because when I brought this issue up in a Support Ticket, I was told to purchase the Pages app and add blocks with Adsense ads. Nobody told me about that the CSS above was the culprit of the ads overlapping and not displaying completely.
    They should remove that part of the CSS completely because it does more harm than good when the user is actually using responsive ads.

    Yes this is true. But with this code it basically says you will always show this size on x screen size. Because I am using the responsive Adsense code I want google to decide as and when it shows what size as is intended.

    You might get better results if you change the values (in custom.css), rather than deleting them. If you want higher ads, use larger height (height/min-height/max-height) values and Google will pick that up.

    @Daniel F
    I am using responsive Adsense in the advertisement manager (default theme). Using the html code option. All Adsense ads only show in leaderboard format apart from the sidebar which IPS seems to allow the ad to actually be fully responsive and show taller ads

    Smaller screens actually make the ads go out of the forum layout. It's like the adsense code doesn't recognize when to stop. This never used to happen on IPB3.

    @gavpedz
    I have noticed this too. Since IPS4 upgrade, the ads are always a small leaderboard. Not as they used to be on IPB3 or Xenforo in your case.
    Could you also try viewing the ad on a smaller screen? Like the iPhone 4?

    MeMaBlue reacted to chilihead in Warning Points - Reverse Action NEEDED
    That's not an option for mods that are not permitted to enter any number and that does not stop the first point from expiring which will then deduct another and mess up the count.

    Also it does not remove the reason or action, so the member gets another notification of a warning, and if they were suspended, it does not unsuspend.

    A reverse button is needed. Ex:

    Reverse this warning and action? "Yes" checkbox. Note: Mistake

    Simple. You could remove it, the member would be notified of said removal, and there would be a notation next to it in their warnings.

    No there is not unfortunately. Seems like a huge oversight. You can give but cannot remove. Hope it's fixed very soon.

    There is no way to reverse an action. What happens if one is given by mistake?

    Sure, you can deduct the point from the admin panel by editing the count, but then the action is still there, and that removes another point on expiry messing up the count.

    Have a button to reverse the action. This will remove the point and the action. A note function would be great as well, to comment on why it was reversed.

    MeMaBlue reacted to MDPP in Restrict member / group from sending PM only
    If you're trying to stop a spammer, troll, or otherwise a troublesome member from sending PMs, I doubt that restricting them from sending PMs but not receiving would actually stop anything. They'll just find another way to harass others, whether that would be through a chat, a post, or even a status update. In fact, it may encourage other members to harass that one member knowing that he or she cannot reply. It seems like a better option just to restrict messages all together, even if it is on the "extreme" side. If you have to give an admin message, you could always give them a 0 point warning.
    If you must though, you could always edit the template directly. Find what the secondary group ID is, and use this in your template:
    core->front->messaging->conversation
    Replace:
    <div data-role='replyArea' class='ipsAreaBackground ipsPad ipsSpacer_top'> {$conversation->commentForm()|raw} </div> With this:
    {{if !(\IPS\Member::loggedIn()->inGroup( 3, $permissionArray=TRUE ))}} <div data-role='replyArea' class='ipsAreaBackground ipsPad ipsSpacer_top'> {$conversation->commentForm()|raw} </div> {{endif}} Replace the 3 with your secondary group ID.

    MeMaBlue reacted to Jim O in Converting vBulletin 4.1.4 to IPB 3.2
    I converted from a vBulletin 4.0 installation with around 4000 members about a year ago. I had IPS do it and still there were problems. There were a number of times I had to go back to them to "redo" something. Attachment imports were a problem but this was eventually fixed. Finally I was "satisfied" and figured it was due to vBulletin 4 being relatively new then. IPS also did an import of PhotoPost into IP.Gallery. While the images were imported, the links to the old images were not rewritten and there was no easy way to do so. At the end of the day, I had to leave the PhotoPost image directories intact (rewritten to the more innocuous "gallery.old" sub-directory in the root directory with the link paths converted via a database query) to make hot links work, and this consumes a few GB of disk space.

    I would highly suggest buying the conversion service. For the time I would have spent it was well worth it. Despite the issues, they were prompt in answering and addressing them, and I have a functioning 3.1.4 installation from which I am not looking back.

    Unzip and upload php file to the community root and go to yourwebsite.com/fixfurl.php. If you have a lot of topics, you might see an error due to a time execution limit. In this case, you just need to run this script again.

    I'm using following multi size ad slot with different viewport sizes. It works pretty good since 1.5 years.
    Just define different line items and assign corresponding banners.
    <script> // GPT slots var gptAdSlots = []; googletag.cmd.push(function() { // Define a size mapping object. The first parameter to addSize is // a viewport size, while the second is a list of allowed ad sizes. var mapping = googletag.sizeMapping(). // Desktop addSize([1185, 200], [800, 250]). // Landscape tablet addSize([1113, 200], [728, 90]). // Accepts both common mobile banner formats addSize([853, 200], [468, 60]). // others addSize([0, 0], [[320, 100], [320, 50]]). build(); // Define the GPT slot gptAdSlots[0] = googletag.defineSlot('Slot_Multisize', [[320, 100]], 'ad-slot'). defineSizeMapping(mapping). addService(googletag.pubads()); googletag.pubads().enableSingleRequest(); googletag.pubads().enableAsyncRendering(); // Start ad fetching googletag.enableServices(); }); </script>

    Yes, this code has to be within head.
    Then just put your "ad-slot" to whereever you want to have the ad.
    Don't forget to assign all necessary ad sizes to this ad-slot within dfp.

    Are you putting this in your <head> and then adding the ad code to the advertising IPS tags or everything all together?

    Probably related. I installed this app today a dozen times to test the new version; no problem found. Other 8 members who had bought this seems to have installed it with no issue.
    Does it happen with other app/plugin?
    The message points a core error.
