Yes 🙂 If there is an existing robots.txt file, this is detected and you are promoted to download the file so you can manually add the rules to your existing file.

You are probably right. But I think moderating living life is a big mistake.
Every community is affected and even the chaos in opinions describes life as it is. Moderation creates a fake, or just one look - yours ... This I don't think is right.
Each member of the community has the right to express his or her fear and hope as he or she feels it.
This creates a sense of a family where everything is shared - both good and bad.

The design of a new ACP has very little relevance.
I would be glad if you create an emergency ACP - when the site is down and the ACP looks "scary" or inaccessible, start an emergency ACP with access to a support tool ...🙂

Well, if we are already nitpicking: Your response asserts that changing passwords leads to “insecure passwords”, but this is only true if one creates passwords meant to remember. But the article doesn’t say that. One could use a password manager with stronger passwords, but the the recommendation of changing even stronger passwords is still valid, since they too could be compromised.

Strict Transport Security should be set up at the server level, and only if you are using SSL (https).
You can enable a Content Security Policy right from the AdminCP should you wish, but it's not something we can automate. You may have needs that the software can't know about (such as showing a Pages widget on an external domain), which is why you should configure it yourself if you wish to use it.
We do output the Content Type Options header when sending a file to the browser. There's little to no benefit using it just on every single page, but we do see value in attachment and file handlers to prevent browsers trying to guess what the file is even after we've supplied a mime type.
We enable a Referrer Policy when visiting external links.
I'm not really sure I'd group a Feature Policy in with security related headers...it's intended to indicate to the user agent which features (like location) the site may need. Trying to do this automatically also means third parties in the future may run into trouble if they try to leverage a new feature that we didn't outright allow initially. Either way, I'd say it's at least debatable if this should be lumped in as a security concern (Google's writeup even says "It's like CSP, except it controls features instead of security").

There's a regulatory and compliance concern with staying updated.  GDPR had far reaching implications for communities that provide services or products in the EU, and communities have to upgrade to stay in compliance with GDPR features.  This is on top of the general security and bug fixes in every major update.
This IPS blog post is actually a great follow up to mine on competition.  Although I talked about competition in a general sense, reacting opportunistically includes keeping up with technology advancements -- a fundamental aspect for online communities or digital brands.  The hidden costs of staying behind are real for professional communities.
    For example:
Cost of bad performance.  According to Forrester Consulting, two seconds is the threshold for an average online shopper's expectations and 40% of shoppers will abandon your site after 3 seconds. [Source] Cost of not being mobile friendly.   According to market research from iAcquire, 40% of users will go back and click another search engine result if the first one they land on is not mobile-friendly.  [Source] Cost of distracting registrations.  Using  burdensome registration forms are a barrier for guests and diminish their motivation  (Preece et al., 2004). All of these pain points of outdated technology are addressed in IPS 4.4 which includes performance improvements, mobile improvements, and registration improvements.
Online communities who don't stay updated are incurring a very real cost of depreciation that hurts their engagement, their membership, their conversions, and their digital sales.

Do you think about improving the way the fonts are loaded? It's very unpleasant to watch empty rectangles until ...
Apparently you should also look for a variant of fonts awesome at your choice of administrator, or minified version of the fonts awesome.
This would reduce the size of the downloaded file and accelerate the uploading of fonts awesome.
It would also be a good solution when installing or upgrading, if an administrator chooses which flags to use and this to save a file as a custom_flags.css. This will greatly reduce size the downloaded flag.css file

Yes, but the constant loading of images and "shaking" of the page is annoying. This feature is useful for speeding up the initial loading of a page, but when viewing a page it does not make sense and looks bad.

This online tool uses Lighthouse version 4.0 alpha 0, and a version that Lighthouse has already activated for Chrome browser is alpha 1.
There are more issues in the alpha's. It would be good to wait for release before serious tests.

@Matt It would be cool to see 4.4 on here now so we can see/test the improvements.
Curious, why does IPS have their javascript inserted in the <HEAD> when end of </BODY> is much faster?

If this million is won with a lottery - I will make a fund to support young poor talents -  a little money to fly.
If they are earned by the business - the business plan is fine, I will look for fun. Then a new venture.
