As an alternative, you can use Pages to create a new support system based on same idea with tickets as on Commerce.

Agree with the above. The user mini profile while a good idea, hides away who you are on a post. If this is toggled, then great. Or, even if the username can still be coloured to their associated group would be a nice touch. Other than that, I like this!

I use the current ads system built in and add code. You can customise how the ads look via Google. You can obviously have them show for different groups. As for mobile integration again, on Google you can customise the size.

Could IPS implement a notification on the front end to remind users of any expiring memberships either through commerce or subscriptions?
Notification saying user has X amount of days remaining (possibly with a direct link to renewal). Notification alerting user that their subscription has now lapsed. Notification of user changing user groups (user reverting to the original group).
  Example:

I'm aware of users getting an email invoice, but if they're anything like me and don't check email all that often it can be missed/overlooked.

No punishment at all! In fact, there is no "catch up" on annual renewals. If you let an annual renewal expire for example for 6 months, you can just pay the normal annual fee 6 months later.
There is only a catch up on the monthly because it's kind of like a finance plan for the annual. If that makes sense 🙂 

Looked at that originally but it needs the photo to be uploaded into a post on the topic itself which isn't what I'm after, since alot of topics don't have an attachment, and sometimes they do which are not relevant.

IPS uses the first images, with the following app you can pick literally any posted image from the topic as OG Image
 

Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing how you guys may re-organise these as there's a lot going on there now. Although I've gotten used to using them for different things (Pinned and Featured on a news database to feature in a home page highlights box, Featured on Forums to highlight user-contributed topics that we have turned into news stories, Promoted as a capture of all-site content - it would be good to be able to organise that/call results in IPS code by content type for this too).
Anyway, all this has made me wish death to all social media platform connectivity. Might just sunset the whole lot and ask users to straight-up register an account on my suite. No risk of anyone forgetting their credentials/emails then (he said... 🤣)

We got hit hard on Monday. 85 quick registrations and counting, in the end we had to topic approve to stop the spam and adjust some Cloudflare options.

So, this feature is only available on the 'Creator Pro' (and up) cloud package? At $149/ month (around £118), which is a lot of money for some of us who have Hobby sites, especially if it costs £1416 a year! I get what's being offered, I just feel 'self-hosted' is being reduced to a bare minimum (eventually).

I fear that a lot of your addons will not be supported any more. For instance, Members Map doesn't exist, and it was (I believe) rewritten and called Community Map. However, @Martin A. did or does have an upgrade option to import all your old markers.

As for your other plugins/addons, you'll need to go through them and see if they're able to be upgraded and whether you need them. And yes, an old theme can cause problems. Ideally, you'd need to disable all addons/plugins and run the default theme and update the site that way, ensuring that ALL NEW FILES overwrite the old ones on the server.

I don't mean to be another just to jump in and confuse issues, but it's best that you restore your forum and keep it as is until you're 100% ready to upgrade.

Thanks. I was not aware that that function sent out an email to the user as well. I created a ticket for her informing her that she should have a password reset email now. 

Yes. Go to ACP, then go to the user's profile. Click edit password, and then use 'force user to change password'.
That will send a link to their email address and ask them to change the password the next time they log in.
