  1. While it has annoyed me, I'm all in for more of the party stuff now being incorporated into the software core. With it being more modern now, I can only see a handful of addons staying around.
  2. This is what I used to do before moving and using commerce. Having it all on the front end makes it a little easier, and it can also help staff members who don't have access to ACP.
  3. Do we have a list of people who have jumped ship? Thankfully @Adriano Faria has taken over a lot of apps over the years, which is great to see.
  4. That would be nice. If it can be done correctly. At the moment, I'm stuck on an old version due to how my site works.
  5. Agree with the above. The user mini profile while a good idea, hides away who you are on a post. If this is toggled, then great. Or, even if the username can still be coloured to their associated group would be a nice touch. Other than that, I like this!
  6. I use the current ads system built in and add code. You can customise how the ads look via Google. You can obviously have them show for different groups. As for mobile integration again, on Google you can customise the size.
  7. Love the idea. It's just another site/forum/place to sign up to. You've got to drive people to this place... I've joined to get an idea. But, my god, we've got to beat FB somehow.
  8. This was removed quite a few versions ago.
  9. That's fair. And, and I see how that works for monthly payers. But, please don't punish us too harshly for gaps with yearly renewals. I have a couple of licences as you see and while these are hobby sites, I do try to renew when I can, but it's very dependent on the amount I make with advertisements.
  10. Anyone able to get this updated for 4.7.x? I have an installation of it, but not templates were imported, despite numerous attempts.
  11. Would this help? **Edit Just seen; Update: Not needed anymore with Invision Community 4.7.11 or higher
  12. Exactly the same, gave up a long time ago. It caused nothing but problems. At least with a local account, we and the user keeps full control.
  13. Think I found the problem. Edit - Fixed. Thanks, sorry for another post!
  14. I have two outstanding tasks that need running. The que tasks keeps getting locked. When I try to unlock and run it manually, I get a message popup stating its starting the process but, the page refreshes and turns white. I thought it might be a PHP error, but there is nothing in the logs, and I'm currently on PHP 8.0.
  15. Upgraded to the latest version last week. When I go to edit a post, the editor box shows the whole topic within the editor. I've edited this photo to hide names/posts.
  16. Have we given up on this? Features I've been asking for have spanned over 3 years now.
  17. We got hit hard on Monday. 85 quick registrations and counting, in the end we had to topic approve to stop the spam and adjust some Cloudflare options.
  18. So, this feature is only available on the 'Creator Pro' (and up) cloud package? At $149/ month (around £118), which is a lot of money for some of us who have Hobby sites, especially if it costs £1416 a year! I get what's being offered, I just feel 'self-hosted' is being reduced to a bare minimum (eventually).
  19. Jeff, I fear that a lot of your addons will not be supported any more. For instance, Members Map doesn't exist, and it was (I believe) rewritten and called Community Map. However, @Martin A. did or does have an upgrade option to import all your old markers. As for your other plugins/addons, you'll need to go through them and see if they're able to be upgraded and whether you need them. And yes, an old theme can cause problems. Ideally, you'd need to disable all addons/plugins and run the default theme and update the site that way, ensuring that ALL NEW FILES overwrite the old ones on the server. I don't mean to be another just to jump in and confuse issues, but it's best that you restore your forum and keep it as is until you're 100% ready to upgrade.
  20. Yes. Go to ACP, then go to the user's profile. Click edit password, and then use 'force user to change password'. That will send a link to their email address and ask them to change the password the next time they log in.
  21. This has happened in the past, Marc. A dormant licence isn't going to earn you anything. But, someone willing to take it over and take up the payments should surely not be discouraged. If both parties share information with IPS, and account name/email are removed and then readded, then why wouldn't you accommodate that? Mark Lindy
  22. Yes. Update. 3.4.5 is far too old I be running these days. Eventually when more and more server update their configs, you will find it difficult to even host the site. There are plenty of scripts to hack and gain access to the 3.x.x versions. I doubt IPS will help as it’s EOL now. Though, they maybe able to shed some light on the error. I would think about renewing your licence…
  23. As above, the user doesn't own his content. You can do this. 1: Delete all posts 2: Annoymise all posts 3: Delete PMs/Messages 4: You can unsubscribe from emails, too. GDPR only requires you to delete identifiable information.
