I would also suggest from experience to do major upgrades with as few apps as possible. There is a realistic chance that the uninstallation routine for an app not made for the current version will fail and one ends up stuck with an app that can’t be uninstalled and might not get upgrades anymore to fix this problem. Catch 22! So removing the app on a version it was made for is much safer and therefore a good idea.

In a similar sense, I suggest merging multiple storage locations into one while still on version 4.x and not on 5 (where options are limited).

I agree. Although, incidentally, I would suggest removing applications that aren't used anyway, just as a matter of cause. To me, if you're worried if the uninstaller will work or not, it probably should be something you've already removed. Otherwise, you would be worrying more about keeping hold of the data. :)

Thank you for the info but I did not get this part?

Opentype is just mentioning this in case you have multiple storage locations for your data. There are some who have spilt (for example) downloads items into a different location to attachments. That's something that wont be possible in the future, and so would indeed be advisable to merge if you have. If its not something you have ever done (unlikely if you werent sure what he meant), then its not something to worry about. :)

1.)After the 5.0.6 update, I started experiencing this issue with the editor. I hadn't noticed anything like this before.

It seems that the problem might be related to a mismatch between the page width settings made in the theme editor and the actual scale of the editor in the post submission page. If we could match the editor’s width to the page layout defined in the theme settings, the text formatting in the editor and the final published post would look the same.

If we can’t find a solution for this, I’m afraid this will cause serious issues in post formatting going forward.

You will always get minor differences when its posted. Even simple things like, for example, the settings buttons that are visible when editing, and not when posted, will affect layout slightly.

Also, another issue I’m still facing — in the admin panel, I still can’t use the advanced editor when trying to submit a post. (You mentioned earlier that this bug was added to the list, but I’m still experiencing the same problem.)

Im not sure what you are referring to on this. If you can link me to where I said this, I would know what you mean.

  3. You would need to check your server error logs to see what error message you are getting. The most likely cause of these are

It may be worth checking those first of all

Switch to light version? Lol 🤣 I had to as well because of the text color. Chrome on iPadOS.

Or even better, just go to the blog itself :) Its probably a formatting error from what will have been a very early version of 5.

  5. We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section.

We look forward to further assisting you.

I had disabled everything but the forums. When I upgraded, I got that message about the multiple files having been modified. It never threw any error messages in the log. I was able to figure it out by enabling show php errors. Apparently there was one file that didn’t get replaced. Once I manually replaced it, everything is working now.

Glad to hear you managed to get that sorted :)

The folder items display, yes. The error is thrown when you click on any of the records there. System cache and browser cache is cleared.

I have taken a look at this, and this is not related in any way to the folder navigation. Your custom templates are out of date and using functions which arent compatible with the latest release by the look of it. I created a new template set for records called defaultRecordTemplate, and applied it to that database instead of "Mind Display 6 3", and you can see that does indeed work

something that maybe the developers are a bit cautious about saying

I can say 100% that 3rd party developers tend not to be cautious of saying anything 🤣. In fact Actually it was spoke up about quite loudly and by many at the time of its closing.

I expect that the third-party developers probably feel the same way although maybe they would prefer not to speak out about it

The reality is, it was run at an increasing cost to us as the hosts of that marketplace. It took time from developers in ensuring the quality of items that were on our own site, there were increasing costs associated with things like chargebacks, disputes we had to deal with, and more. All of which were at the cost, not only in monetary value, but time taken out of support from our core product, and development of our core product. The alternative would be to considerably increase the charges to 3rd party providers (of course in turn meaning many would have simply left anyway, in an already declining pool of people), or close the marketplace altogether.

My update has resulted in a 500 error message on the main page (resulting in just a blank white screen). I'm not getting any error messages in the logs and can access the ACP without issue. It doesn't indicate any issues either and says all the files are fine.

Have you disabled all 3rd party items? Anything showing up in your server error logs you can share? If you update your access details on file, we can take a look to see what is happening for you.
