yes but tapatalk doesn't even work. I had to remove it.
I want the name of my app and community to come up in search results in the apple store and google market place. The reason I asked your age is because I believe non millennials see the world differently. We remember the early web and understand that an app isn't really much more than a fancy link to a website in many cases. However, I know many millennials who won't even consider looking at something unless it has an app. They are a totally different customer with different needs and they are a LARGE part of the online market. I am sad that we don't have a way to even make a play for their business in our communities. Of course there are a lot of exceptions to every blanket statement but researching millennials for some time in my real life job has given me lots of insight. (no it's not me)
    Thank you

I for one would like a presence in the app markets. Simply being responsive doesn't get you a seat at the table in the app store. The traffic is all in the market place.
How old are you ... ?    (just out of curiosity)

The problem with the apps is... "another app" to add to the 234029 that everybody has on their phones. What drives people in is usefulness and quality of the content, and fulfilment of "hedonistic goals", depending on the type of "community" you have.
Of course a dedicated app would be great, but it's expensive. If it's an app for all our forums, i don't think it's that great. You have tapatalk for it, if you want.
    I'm 31.
Is your photo from yourself? (curiosity too!).

The reason why some clients and users of forums believe that our sites are retro is because we are still playing catch up.
Having a mobile app makes sense, most applications have a premium feel to them and although the responsive mode is brilliant, typing messages is still very dinky and navigating is especially frustrating but far better than 3.4. IPS really should try to seek developers or perhaps look to hire a sub division - as I am sure we as clients can provide the feedback required to make it work, it just depends on if we are heard and valued at the end of the day.

I like the mobile app for increased exposure and appeal to younger people. There is no NEED for an app as the responsive theme is very good but it certainly works to open the doors for increased traffic. Some users just won't use safari to access a web forum site on their phone. They want an app or it's a deal breaker for them. I want that traffic. My competitor is getting it all with their fancy custom app and it makes me sad that I can't even compete.

Put the image in the post, double-click on it. There you have your link function for images.

    Hello,
I've recently upgraded from Nexus to Commerce and have noticed a few areas requiring improvement, in the ACP.
    -------
With Nexus in 3.x, the Paypal transaction ID was displayed for each payment - which made it very easy to find the customer on Paypal (sometimes they use different email addresses compared to my site, so an email search isn't possible).
With Commerce in 4.x, the Paypal transaction ID is no longer shown for billing agreements. An example of this is below. I need to find this transaction on Paypal, but the only way to do this is to search for transactions from June 22 on the Paypal site, and check each payment until I find the right one. The billing agreement ID cannot be used in Paypal's search feature, but transaction ID's can. The payment on the Paypal site does have a transaction ID (like all payments), but it isn't displayed in my ACP.

    -------
Additionally, it would be very helpful if the search feature was more powerful with Commerce. Every 3 months for tax reasons, I need to search for Australian customers who have purchased from my site, and then find their transactions on Paypal.
At the moment, the only way to do this with Commerce (as far as I know) is to: find approved transactions from April 1 - June 30, which produces 30+ pages of orders in the ACP. I then need to scroll through all of those pages, clicking on every purchase, then checking the customers country to see if it's Australia. The search feature needs to be severely improved, allowing us to narrow down results such as: find approved transactions from April 1 - June 30 from customers in Australia. The current method is beyond primitive, turning what should be a relatively quick task into an hour, if not longer.

While these features may not apply to a large group of admins, I feel as though they're significant enough and would greatly assist any admins who manage large numbers of customers.

    Evening,
Are there any plans to integrate google photos with invision so we can directly upload photos from our own google photos accounts as many photos these days are taken on mobiles and then uploaded straight to these types of cloud accounts.
    Thanks in advance.

kmk reacted to Joel R in [IP.Gallery] Selecting Images to Move
When I am in a category and need to individually select images to move to other albums, I've encountered multiple difficulties that I hope IPS will address.  This one goal has revealed multiple workflow and UIX difficulties in IP.Gallery.
    Where shall I begin:
When I select an image to move, I can't move into a new album.  I can only move into an existing category / album.  This, by itself, brings up a workaround that I need to create an album in advance - but oh wait, in order for me to create an album, I am forced into another workaround to upload a token image.  These token images, upon creating multiple albums, start to fill up the Activity Stream.  My users, bless their hearts, gave me 3 "likes" on these token images before they started to become bewildered on why I was uploading blank images en masse.  XenForo Media Gallery allows images to be moved into a New Album as part of the move process.  IP.Gallery, on the other hand, requires 2 workarounds to accomplish the same end result.  There is a workflow issue to address here.
When I select an image to move, the listing display of albums is both slow and overwhelming when a user has hundreds of albums.  Really.  It takes a long time for the modal window to appear, and it's sorted chronologically ascending by Most Recently Created.  Your engineering team is more than welcome to test on my community.  So not only do I need to wait for the modal window to appear, I then need to scroll through hundreds of albums to get to the bottom of the album list.  I have two suggestions on this: 1) Sort albums Ascending by Most Recently Created; 2) Even better, allow a tree structure of both categories and albums which is a far more elegant and structured approach for complex galleries.  There are both performance and UIX issues to address here.
When I select multiple images to move, the selection process becomes difficult for large-scale moves.  I think I know why: unlike a traditional gallery where every thumbnail has the same max dimensions which means every thumbnail is the same distance from each other, IP.Gallery uses a masonry style layout.  That looks nice and modern, but it also means every image is a different height and width from the next image.  In turn, that means the distance to selecting the next checkbox is a different height and width.  There's no muscle memory.  I know this seems like a trivial concern at first ("why Joel, you need to click better"), but when you've selected 30+ images on a page and accidentally misclick on the next image's checkbox (which therefore redirects you to the Image details page, which WIPES OUT all prior selections when you go "back"), this can truly be problematic.  The checkbox is very, very small.  Now imagine that you go back, and try again for a second time, and -- whoops -- another misclick, so you start all over yet again.  My patience has been rubbed raw by this problem.  I have two suggestions on this: 1) The most elegant solution I've brainstormed is to offer an "edit mode,"  which turns the entire image into a clickable interface.  That makes it easy to select the entire image to move, instead of only the tiny checkbox.  One click to select the image, two double-clicks to redirect to the Image details page.  2) Another solution is to remember prior selections, in case you redirect to the Image details page and then return to the category page.  There is a UIX issue to address here.
To let IPS know the scope of my recent experience on moving images, I went through 26 sub-categories containing 4500 images to be moved into 350 albums.  I challenge IPS' Management and Developers to re-organize a single category of only 220 random and mixed images into 12 new albums.  Try it.  Really.
I continue to assert that IP.Gallery is appropriate for micro-galleries, where each user has a handful of images in a handful of albums / categories.  When you have such little content, any management tool more than suffices and IP.Gallery could be an appropriate solution.  But for large-scale galleries, it becomes evident that IP.Gallery lacks the thought and deep understanding for efficient and large-scale administration.  I ask that IPS explores the concerns for large-scale galleries, since getting it 'right' with the appropriate tools and processes at this level means getting it right at all levels.

Normally people just delete and add the new version, but you can make it update if you want by making it check a link for updates - Id say that it is rather overkill though. Best way would be to go through the Marketplace, just press "Buy Now" on the right side button @ http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/7551-simplicity-green-improved/?

I could have it done for later today, in about 4 hours. Got to finish another project first though.
