  1. Possible bug.... if you add a raffle to a quiz, you can't then remove it (like when the raffle is over). When editing the quiz and selecting the "x" next to the raffle name, it goes away until you save your changes and then it comes right back again. Also... it appears you can't add a "giveaway" directly to a quiz and only a paid raffle. The raffle field under the quiz just can't seem to find "givaways". I have found a way around this, it's just a pain. It might seem odd, to want to use givaways, but in my local I can't legally sell raffles without a mountain of headaches... So, I am using "givaways" tied to making people take a quiz to enter (and locking said givaway) so the only way to enter is to "play the quiz". And, it's working that way just fine. It would just be easier if the raffle field under quizzes accepted "giveaways"
  2. I was thinking... this app is great and could also be used for members to apply to become members of a "closed" club. Right now, if you have a closed club you have to "contact" the club owner and request access - which probably, leads to a lot of back an fourth, etc. Giving people the ability to apply to join a closed club seems far more professional to me (if the club owner wants to go that route, not mandatory or anything). It can actually be used for that purpose already without any changes. But what would make using it that way better, would be an option to auto allow a member to a club if their application is accepted - much like the existing promote member feature. Just a suggestion.
  3. It's just a thought... But, wouldn't that open up a whole can of potential legal and administrative problems.... publicly labeling people cheaters? Especially, considering this is not a strict testing environment where we could control the entire environment. There are things outside a users control that could take them away from the "active" tab and cause them to fail (besides actually cheating). For example those annoying pop-ups from other running programs that may require the user to close such things just to get back to viewing the quiz itself. Irregardless... labeling people cheaters (even when it's deserved) seems more problematic than good.
  4. Thanks for checking into this Adriano! I'll look for the new version in the coming days.
  5. The last thing I noticed with my testing is notifications... not sure if this is one of those IPS by design things, a bug or whatever.... If I am the creator of a quiz, when I log in... I only receive a notification for the very last member to have taken the quiz. If 5 people have taken the quiz while I am logged out, when I log in I am only notified of the very last person to have taken the quiz. It seems odd, as it kinda gives the impression that only one person has played and that can be misleading.
  6. I noticed a typo in one of the answers of my simple 5 question quiz and when I click "edit question" I get the message "you've reached the maximum number of questions" and it won't let me edit anything. I've read the limit far exceeds my 5 question quiz, so I am assuming this must just be a bug somewhere.
  7. I have three questions, that I'll break into three posts regarding v1.4.3. I might simply be misunderstanding something... or perhaps they are bugs. I created a simple 5 question, graded quiz and set "update score with every play" in the ACP. But, it does not update the score if a member tries again. It only shows the first score on both the users profile and under Leaders Ranking, no matter how many times they play.
  8. Thank you for the 1.0.5 update! It really helps!
  9. Thanks for making this app! It was really needed. One question though... The category side box shows up on the main club page as well as when you click on any of the "sub-catgories" and that's perfect. However, the category box does not show if you click on a parent category (container) link. As a matter of fact.... all side bar boxes disappear on that page with one exception.... the default "all clubs" box. Is that right? or am I missing something? In my mind it presents a slight nav problem if a user clicks on the parent category (container) link. As they will then find themselves without the category nav box to move around.
  10. That's great! I already have the Crowdfunding app and having integration between it and raffles would be pretty neat (Sadly, in my locale there might be some laws about having to give money for a chance to win so I'll have to look into that) Doing the same for quizzes would be really nice as well (plus, no legal issues as no money is changing hands to play a quiz... just making the user proves their knowledge before getting a chance to win a reward). Thanks for all you do!
  11. I like the quizzes app very much and was pondering another one of your apps... the raffle system. Might sound crazy, but have you ever given any thought in adding an integration to raffles for quizzes? For example... an option to force a user to take (and pass) particular quiz before they could enter a particular raffle (assuming both apps are installed)? From my perspective, it would help make sure the user has learned something (or knows about the subject) before getting entered to win a possible reward. Just a wild and crazy thought and or suggestion. If this is the wrong place for suggestions... please advise of a more suitable location.
  12. Loving this update... That's great! no more editing out "invited by" via template. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for checking and sorry for bothering you. I don' t know what was going on over the weekend, as today it's working like a charm. It must be operator error (my fault) as I can see no other explanation at this point. Time to cut back on the coffee and get more sleep I think. Once again... I am sorry, for bothering you and I do appreciate your hard work and apps.
  14. Hi Adriano..... Sorry to bother you (again) but I recently purchased Quizzes and it seems to have an issue with one of your other apps (Crowdfunding); however, not the Links Directory or Tutorials (which I also use). Tonight, I went in and created a new category for Quizzes and as it walked me through the process like normal but kept referencing Crowdfunding & the options associated with it (payments methods, etc.)? Once I finished... the new category showed up under both Quizzes and Crowdfunding under the control panel, yet only under Quizzes on the front end. To test further, I tried the reverse and created a category under Crowdfunding and that worked properly. So, for some reason creating a category under Quizzes, shows the Crowdfunding Options and language and then creates the same category under both Quizzes & Crowdfunding.
  15. Actually, I took another look at it and found that the suite does set a numbered style for each club calendar (it's just empty). So, I can edit each club calendar's background setting through custom CSS. So, that's great and I can do that easily myself. But the problem is... it would be a whole lot easier for other club creators, moderators, etc. if they could do that without a full admin having to manually change the custom css. I guess what's needed in the end is a background color chooser in the Manage Club > Calendar section just like there is in the control panel when you create a normal calendar. Since, they are already generating an empty CSS style for each club calendar (seems like they did not finish what they started) hopefully, it might not be as big of a pain - I don't know. So... it's just a thought which might prove helpful. Here's an example of what I put in my custom css for one of my club calendars: a.cEvents_style8, .cEvents_style8 a, .cCalendarIcon.cEvents_style8 { background-color: #000000; } I just had to find the right style number (that was auto assigned, but empty).
  16. Hi Adriano, I was thinking of purchasing this app and have a question... I saw a person asking about being able to change colors for the event name background earlier in this thread... Was this feature ever added? If not, might you still consider something like it? If not that's fine, just thought I'd ask. I think the original person who asked you was asking about changing "each" event color and I am not looking for something as grand as that. My problem is regarding the Club Calendars. Currently, all the Club Calendars have the same background color. I can change that color through Custom CSS, but that still leaves me with all clubs having the same background color on the main calendar (for users who can see such things). And since a user can go to the main calendar tab (outside of clubs) and still see all the club events they belong to listed there - it presents a problem when they belong to several clubs as they all show with the same color (no way to distinguish between them quickly). So, in my case I have a lot of site wide calendars that all can see and I have setup different colors to help distinguish between them. But then, any user who belongs to multiple clubs - they are all shown as the same color.... which I think will get very confusing for them. Please, let me know your thoughts.
  17. I agree 100%. What it's forced me to do is put everything in the main body / description so it will be included in a search. Which does get around the search problem but wrecks any idea of having certain types of data separated out for uniformity and other database type purposes. Like you said.... pretty much useless. Which also begs the question.... The solution to not include extra fields in search results only speeds things up by having less data to process (odd solution for a search problem, as we want data and content). But, since that forces us to put the data in an area that is indexed, the net result is the same (performance wise). Sadly, this decision just causes us harm as now instead of having clean, uniform database like structures - we are basically left with the equivalent of static html pages. It causes us a whole lot of extra work and we loose all the benefits of a database.
  18. Thanks for letting me know Adriano. I have joined into the party.... I hope other's will too.
  19. Count me in as someone who thinks being able to search extra fields is critical. I was shocked to learn that extra fields are not searchable. I mean... what's the point of having them if they cannot be found? I read earlier in this thread (2016) that IPS was focusing on Engagement and would get back to this issue. But, it's 2019 and it's still not done? I am well aware of the challenges and hard work that goes into these things and I don't mean to be pushy, but I would think the "fundamentals" would be a top priority. Being able to search and find the content you are looking for is 100% necessary to keep users engaged and using our sites. If they can't easily find what they are looking for they will just leave and what does that do for "engagement"? I wish that was not the case and people would slow down and take the time to look around - but they won't, if it's easier somewhere else. So, please consider making this issue a bigger priority than it has been.
  20. A possible bug... or I am missing something entirely. The extra field's don' t seem to be searchable in v5.4.8 I setup an extra field (Editor) and set the search behavior to "Fetch all results that contain the value being searched for" and when doing a search for a unique term I put in the extra field, I get no results found. However, if I put the exact same information in the main description it shows up in a search just fine. I've worked around this for now, by just putting all information in the main description. However, I had hoped to use the extra fields feature. So, am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?
  21. Thanks for replying. I've already found another way to do what I want without using the gallery widget at all. I just had to look a little deeper. Sorry, for bothering you with dumb questions.
  22. Is it possible to use the listings "extra fields" to insert a widget into a listing? What I'd like to do is insert an "image feed" from a specific gallery (created for that listing) into the listing body using the "extra fields" option. If I use the main page editor, I can already insert a "gallery image feed" to show a particular album on the page itself... but of course, it's that same album for all listings. That won't work for me. So, I am wondering... if I could insert the gallery image feed widget into each listing (using extra fields) so that I could choose a "specific" and different album for each listing (that I have already created). There's probably already a way for me to do this using the extra field code option or editor, but I have not dug to deep into that yet and first thought I'd check here.
  23. I agree! Most users are not going to find the "search by tags" link under the advanced search form which kinda makes tags useless in these regards.
