Glad you enjoyed it. I found it very interesting and enjoyable. Then again,
Matt (and by extension,IPS) have finally admitted to being the answer to life, the universe and everything....

Stuart Silvester reacted to Nathan Explosion in Happy 16th Birthday To Us!
Just checked back on my records and I jumped on board in January 2004 - converted from a hosted UBB.x site to IPB, with a converter I wrote myself in a Lotus Notes (Domino) database using LotusScript. I've even managed to find the database itself and have been marvelling (i.e. horrified) at the code I wrote to perform the conversion - there's even a comment in there stating
We purchased our lifetime license at the time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I still remeber this AOL- and CompuServe-Clientprograms (To be honest... I never liked the AOL-Client, but CIM (CompuServe Information Manager)... It was just hard to remeber all the Compuserve-IDs 0972341ß985713245,9082734
I run a lot of different softwares over the years... UBB (1998), vB, UltraBoard, YaBB, IkonBoard, Woltlab, xF and Invision... all of them had come and goes, dramas, Companychanges, etc.... That said, the most of my websites now running IPS
FunFact: A few days ago, i thought about the future.. I am 44 years old and thought:, i will run some of my websites, when i retire... Second thought: Ouh, how old is @Matt? Will there be IPS ?
GUYS: KEEP IN MIND: I WANT TO USE IPS WHEN I RETIRE... IN 20 YEARS (or so)... DON'T EVEN THINK OF STOPPING THE WORK ON IPS
That said: Thanks for all your work

Stuart Silvester got a reaction from ADKGamers in 4.3: Announcements
In the old widgets, they showed a small sample of the announcement text (which is one of the reasons that styling and link etc were stripped from it. What we've done for 4.3 is remove that preview and made all of the announcements show the titles only with the ability to open the rest of the information in a modal. The content of that formatted is fully rendered as you would expect.
You could change it if you want to, either by modifying the template or by using a CSS rule to target the icon tag. (CSS would be the safer way to do it).

Stuart Silvester got a reaction from The Old Man in 4.3: Announcements
It should be fine, we've added it without making any changes to the global template, so it'll work out of the box for customers that are using custom/modified themes.

Stuart Silvester got a reaction from LiquidFractal in QOTW: Name the one thing you cannot live without
Yes, music is a great answer. You always think of better replies after it has been published!
I'm rarely in the quiet, I typically always have music playing whether it's Classical, Rock or Metal.

Stuart Silvester got a reaction from Matt in QOTW: What is your favorite TV show?
I'm not a huge TV watcher so I don't really know as much about it as I should.
I really enjoyed the rebooted films, so I'll be giving it a watch when (if) it makes it to Netflix.

Sorry. We don't support the invisible option at this time (including 4.2), but we're considering implementing it in a future version.

Thanks! i am in the office and here i only have Internet Explorer 11 and it is not possible to choose any reaction except the "Like". When I place the cursor over the heart the modal with the other 4 reactions appears, but if I move the cursor over one of these 4 reactions the modal dissapear, so I cannot click any of them except the Like
I know IE sucks but there are still many people using it...

Stuart Silvester got a reaction from Simon Woods in New: Member History
Member History is more of an admin tool so that you can see what changes have happened to an account since it was created. For example, if you had placed a member in a specific group and they were auto-promoted based on a promotion rule you have set, their member history would show that, removing any confusion as to why they're now in a different user group.

Stuart Silvester reacted to Daniel F in New: Member History
Name Changes can already be seen on the profile with the proper permissions! That's part of the core since oct/nov last year. Make sure that the "Can view Display Name History" group permission is set.
