This is a bit of a slap in the face to self hosted clients. Nothing to celebrate here. 👎

I can see this being an option for paid subscriptions/memberships for those who want to upgrade to have an option to post anonymously.
I'm assuming a user will have a choice on whether to post anonymously or not and topics/posts that are not anonymous will show on their profile pages? Hopefully they can edit their post to make it public should they decide to.

Looking forward to it. I was hoping to see some controls over the contact us form because that’s where I get hit most. IPS spam defense for new registrations has worked very well over the years.

That would be very helpful, hold for moderation if contains a link for new registrations. You can already moderate all links but not isolate for new registrations only.

Most all spammers first post includes a link.  Anyway we can add that to the list to mark for approval?

I think that’s key here. Some tinker with a forum while others run them like a business. I invest in the software, apps, hardware, etc., as a business and not for fun. If I wasn’t making money, I would find a better use of my time.

Looks great, hopefully someone can find a way to tie this into subscriptions with group promotion.  Something like keeping your subscription/group level based on hitting an achievement over a set amount of time, or something like that. A member answers "x" amount of posts over "x" amount of time, they get to keep their group setting or subscription for free. Just brainstorming...lol
@Jordan Invision great job on the video. 👍

I get 500GB SSD machines for 50$ price range. So charging 590$/month is just outright crazy. Even if you hire sys admin to help with some set up, you still wouldn't touch that price. No offense to IPS hosting but prices are just unacceptable.

@ahc I appreciate your honesty and passion here. As @Jordan Invisionsaid, we are currently building out an achievements system that finally brings gamification to Invision Community. It won't be a direct replacement for the Rules app, but it'll go some way to bring back some functionality for you.

And it won't be locked to Invision ☁️ Communities.

(Jordan is training me on how to use emoji, sorry everyone)
