    Welcome to Invision Community 5!
Over the coming weeks, we'll be exploring a bunch of new features and improvements coming to our user interface including our brand new theme editor, a new mobile UI, dark mode and performance improvements thanks to a reduction in both JavaScript and CSS. To kick off this series, let’s take a closer look at the new sidebar layout and new view modes for the forum index and topic pages.
    Sidebar Layout
Traditionally, Invision Community has shipped with a horizontal header and navigation bar at the top of the page, which is still available in version 5. We're introducing a brand new (and optional) sidebar layout, which can be enabled or disabled easily from within your theme settings. The sidebar not only provides convenient access to your applications, activity streams and search bar, but you can now add links to nodes for even easier access to popular or commonly used areas of your community. For example - a category from your forum, an album from the Gallery, or a product group from Commerce.

    Forum Index: Feed view
One of our goals for version 5 was to re-imagine new ways for your visitors to consume content, and the sidebar layout is just one of our solutions. Table view has been the typical way of displaying forums, providing visitors with a simple summary of the most recently active topic. Grid mode introduced cover photos to forums and is a great way to make your page more visually engaging, while fluid view allows visitors to filter through a list of topics to easily focus on multiple areas of the community.
Joining these view modes in version 5 is our new Feed view. Optional cover photos and featured forum colours allow you to personalise each forum, and a list of recently active topics with snippets of the most recent reply allow you to easily see what each forum is focusing on at a glance. The topic list drops below the cover photo and converts to a scrollable list on small devices. It's our fresh take on content display, and we can’t wait to hear your feedback!

    Topic pages: Compact view
In addition, Invision Community 5 also introduces a new, compact layout option for topics. We wanted to create a layout which placed focus on your content while still keeping all of the authors profile information easily accessible within a mini profile. Stats, rank, badges, reputation points and more can be found by tapping the icon at the top of every post. The mini profile strip has also been added to other areas of the software too, such as comments and reviews in applications like Gallery and Blogs, and will appear on the mobile layout when the traditional "table view" is used in topics.
Switching between the new compact view and the author sidebar view takes just seconds giving you complete control over your community.

As part of this view, you also have the choice to feature/pin the original post to the top of every page, making it a breeze for your visitors to easily understand the context of replies without navigating back to page 1. Pinned posts have a slightly larger font-size to distinguish them from replies, and we've thoughtfully truncated them on pages beyond the first to keep scrolling to a minimum.

The new sidebar layout and view modes offer a fresh and innovative approach to navigating and interacting with your community. We’re really keen to hear your thoughts on these new views and whether you’ll be unleashing them on your own sites! We appreciate that no two sites are the same, and those who are a fan of the classic header look will benefit from quick styling tools and a visual way to re-arrange the header elements which we’ll cover in a later blog.
We’re looking forward to showcasing a whole bunch of new features over the coming weeks - so stay tuned, and we’ll see you then!

It could indeed be that as it has security built in.

Really needs to be addressed. I can't keep manually sorting peoples payments out every time they wish to come back to purchase from us. Ridiculous.

Generally the user will already know they have an expired subscription, however we do have internal notes to improve in this area. In the meantime, notes may be a good thing to add

When you change the price in the ACP, you should be asked whether you want to apply the change to new purchases or all purchases. That’s the only and proper spot to affect all future invoices.

Yeah, known issue without a proper solution. Feel free to add your comment here:

The issue: when someone let’s a subscription (product subscription or regular subscription) expire, they will later not be able to buy it again, because the invoice on file prevents a new subscription. But the existing subscription also cannot be renewed because the invoice has expired. This can only be solved by intervention from an admin (manually finding and deleting these invoices), but there might be hundreds of those and it would require a constant monitoring of expired invoices.
The solution: The check that prevents a new subscription with an invoice on file should be removed or adjusted. Someone who doesn’t have a subscription anymore, because subscription and invoice have expired, must be treated like anyone who never had a subscription. Both groups should see exactly the same offers because their status in relation to these subscriptions is the same.
Why it matters: People run into this problem all the time and it’s not just an inconvenience, it it costing them money, because people who would want to pay cannot pay and probably just give up. Here are just a few examples from the recent days (and I have observed this and commented on it for years):
Subscription buttons don't show up. (yesterday)
    Subscriptions Bug (yesterday)
invoice has expired but member cannot renew (7 days ago)
The development time to fix this is probably much cheaper than having IPS support deal with this issue for years, constantly identifying the issue and guiding people through the process of the possible work-arounds. So it would be a win-win situation to finally fix this. 😉

I can understand that, but it would be extremely helpful for me and probably a lot of other users of this plugin.
As it stands now, I can't use this app sadly.

Could you please tell me where exactly are you experiencing being rate limited? Is the app failing to send certain notifications? Additionally, could you send me your debug information file in a private message (you can download one from ACP > Brilliant Discord > Logs > Download Debug Information)? Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.
When syncing username from Discord to your Invision Community website, discriminators are included in the usernames. This is due to Invision Community's limitation that a username must be unique, while Discord allows multiple users to have the same name. Make sure that you have "#" included in Allowed Characters.

I am feeling much better now. Thanks for asking, I really appreciate this. I hope you are doing well too!
When a user unlinks their accounts, Brilliant Discord Integration automatically kicks them from your Discord server, effectively preventing such abuse.
This is intended. Brilliant Discord Integration is only using the bot's identity to perform actions on your Discord server. It is not actively connected to Discord, which is why the bot appears offline. This doesn't mean that something is wrong with the app.
It seems that there are some issues with syncing group changes triggered by Commerce products/subscriptions. This is something that is currently under investigation.

Hello I am just wondering if this is possible, if so how much would a developer charge me to create something like this?

    Description:
I would like the user to purchase from the IPB store to then be redirected only IF the payment is successfully cleared via the PayPal gateway to this page as demonstrated
Once cleared, and confirmed. The user is then placed into the new user group.
Data, SDK and API you can use: https://docs.verifai.com/web-sdk/#verifai-web-sdk

If you are experiencing issues with Magic Invites or Mass Synchronization, upgrade to 1.0.14.1.
To make the widget work, just go to your Discord server settings and make sure that "Enable Server Widget" is checked.

This is not yet possible, unfortunately. If you want to hide the button, you can try to use CSS for this purpose.
This is a nice idea; definitely something that may be added on a feature update!
This is usually caused by pasting a wrong client secret into the configuration; make sure it is OK. Let me know if it doesn’t solve your issue.

That's not an option. You can however edit the invite -> front -> global -> invitedByProfileHeader template and delete its content. Leave it blank. That will make the output not to be printed.

As much as I like the idea of profiting from it, that would increase support because I would have one more resource to support and probably one fix in one of them would have to be made in the other, as they would share 90% of source code. I will update current version.
    Another new feature: EXPORT INVITATIONS:

It will export to a CSV file format:

Also reworked in ACP restrictions to make it more robust:
