dwbuh reacted to All Astronauts for a file, Minimum Password Length
This plugin will change the behavior of all password fields on IPS4, allowing the administrator to set the minimum length for the passwords. IPS4 default is 3 characters, this plugin will allow you to alter this.
This does work alongside the built-in IPS password strength meter just fine.
It will change the length in all places that uses password, like:
Registration screen Account Settings -> Password etc. Notes:
Existing Users: No changes to their existing passwords. If their password is reset or they change it themselves the new password length requirements will apply. New Users: Required to use the new password length when they create their account.
dwbuh reacted to Heosforo for a file, Database Tickets
Tickets is a simple Pages database that emulates a ticket system.
In a few steps you can have your own ticket system installed and ready to interact with your members, without cost.
Each member will see their own tickets, so you must be logged in to view your content.
Hope you like ?
dwbuh reacted to TDBF for a file, Show Sidebars
IPS decided in their wisdom to remove sidebars within some area's of the Community Suite.
This 'Hack' will allow you to use sidebars with all applications, such as Calendar, CMS, ModCP, Contact, Members Profile, Messenger, Search etc.
This Hack will also prevent any Layout changes that IPS forces on your Community Suite. The follow pages will have full layout: Contact, Cookies, Guidelines, LostPass, Privacy, Register, Settings, Term etc.

dwbuh reacted to All Astronauts for a file, Topic Viewed by Users
Version 2 is for use with 4.2 onward. Use older versions for compatibility with 220.127.116.11 or lower. This is unsupported and may or may not work with 4.3. If you want 4.3 compatibility pick up the paid, supported version highlighted below.
This plugin will record each visit made by users from selected groups to topics of specific forums.
Record single visit: if disabled, a flood control setting will appear to set a number of minutes to avoid recording consecutive visits to the same topic Groups that WILL NOT have their visits to the topic logged Forums Groups allowed to view the visitors list List sort by and list direction Guests are not logged Important:
When I inherited this file there was a bug in the uninstall routine. A tiny syntax error. If you've never attempted to uninstall this file before just upgrade to the latest version and you should be fine. If you have attempted to uninstall before you may end up with problems trying to reinstall this ever again. You can try to clear out database elements (many places) and clear your IPS server directory of the plugin files and that may help or maybe it won't. All I have to go on is someone's very broken IPS installation and honestly I don't even think this plugin was ever the problem but it did get caught up in the mess.
This file is unsupported!
Supported version is $5 and includes better display options!

This is a plugin which I created quickly to add an footer with a bunch of links and some social media links to my forum and I thought I would share it with the IPS community.

Feel free to use or not.
It's free, and you're welcome 😉

dwbuh reacted to TDBF for a file, Stop Shouting
What does it do?
This plug-in prevents your members from trying to steal attention, by entering a title in purely uppercasing with lots of punctuation. The Plug-in will try and strip the text to a more readable format that is constant with your board posting guidelines.
Case Types: There are 5 different types of casing that you can use. No Modification, Sentence Case, Upper Case, Lower Case and Title Case. Excessive Punctuation: This tries to reduce excessive punctuation from the title. This will turn ??????? to ? and !!!!!! to !. Exception Words: These are word of your choosing that will never have their casing changed, regardless of your plug-in settings. If the word is upper case, all of these words in the title will be forced Upper case for example. Remove Characters: These are characters that will be removed regardless of how many there are in the title text. Names that begin with O', Mc or Mac will be processed automatically from o'neill to O'Neill or mcneill to McNeill.
dwbuh reacted to Tarun for a file, htaccess for IPS Forums
This is a custom .htaccess to use on the IPS Community Suite Forums. It helps to improve your forums Google Page Speed and YSlow scores.
The top segment is the same .htaccess that is generated by the IPS Forum software. This segment is Invision Power Services code and I do not claim it as my own. All rights and credit for this segment of the .htaccess are Invision Power Services.
The bottom segment is based upon research of several websites and the references listed below. Please be careful when using this file because the contents may be incompatible with your server setup. Preventative measures have been taken to ensure that it should be safe to use in any Apache based environment.
Warning: If you have customized your .htaccess file you will want to make the necessary edits to add the code included in the .htaccess file found in this package.
When you make updates be sure to remind users to clear their cache. You can also refer them to this URL for instructions on how to do clear their cache: https://wiki.lunarsoft.net/wiki/Clearing_browser_cache
Google recommends a minimum of one week: https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/LeverageBrowserCaching
